Black Forest Chocolate Cherry Bread
1. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add cocoa and stir until completely dissolved. Let cool to room temp. 2. Add cocoa and all remaining ingredients except the cherries and the rum in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the sweet bread cycle. (Regular cycle is OK too) 3. Meanwhile, soak the cherries in half of the rum. At the beeper (or at the end of the first kneading), add the cherries and their soaking liquid. 4. When you remove the bread from the machine, brush the remaining rum over the top of the loaf. Serve warm or cooled. Makes a 1 lb loaf. |
