"It's senior year at John Adams High School for Cory, Shawn and Topanga, and with all the excitement swirling around them as they prepare for their big graduation day, they intend to make this their best year ever. Cory continues to test his theories about life and relationships, especially now that older brother Eric attends nearby Pennbrook College. A large part of Cory's world still revolves around his sweetheart, Topanga, and when he's not at school or hanging out at Chubbies' Malt Shoppe, he's probably visiting his brother's apartment. "For the first time in his life, college student Eric is living away from home. The easygoing young man is having fun with this new independence, but still finds himself faced with the typical anxieties that confront all freshmen. "One lesson Eric is learning that can't be taught in college is how to be a roommate. He lives with Jack, a serious guy who comes from a nice family. Jack's family ties are connected to Shawn. It turns out that Shawn's wanderlust father has another son from a previous relationship - and that son is Jack. Shawn, whose parents are trying to get their individual lives together, hasn't seen his brother for quite some time. Jack invites Shawn to live with him and Eric, giving them the opportunity to forge a bond. Eventually, they learn how to appreciate each other's differences. Jack and Shawn realize that getting to know a long-lost sibling isn't as easy as they expected. "Back on the Matthews' home front, parents Amy and Alan, who are thrilled that Eric is in college, are adjusting to the fact that their oldest child has flown from their nest. They ponder their future and wonder if having another child might fulfill this new void in their lives. This possibility finds youngest sister Morgan adding, as always, her 11-year-old point of view. "The ever-present and wise Principal George Feeny, who still lives next door to the Matthews, continues to challenge the kids as they go about making their educational decisions. As usual, he has a unique way of always seeming to know what unpredictable antics Cory and Shawn are up to." (Touchstone Television press release.)
