Emma White was born in 1883. She died at the age of 28 on Jan 26, 1911 from tubercular trouble. She is buried at Bookwalter Cemetery in Knoxville, Tn on Central Ave. Pike.

Godfrey, Elsie Clark- age 90 of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, January 2, 1997, at St. Mary`s Medical Center. She was a charter member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Edgar Lee Godfrey; parents, Frank and Emma White Clark; daughters, Lois Elizabeth and Phyllis Jean Godfrey, Linda Ann Wood Gregory; sisters, Verna Perkins, Ollie Webb and Alice Tanner. Survivors: daughters, Doris Godfrey Whittle, Mary Lee Godfrey O' Connor; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl E. and Ann Godfrey, Kenneth F. and Oneida Godfrey; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Saturday for graveside and interment services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ralph Guthrie officiating. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.

Her obituary of June 26 1977 read:
Godfrey Mrs. Mattie Stanifer age 94 of Harmon Road, Powell, passed away @ Hillcrest. Survivors: Sons Joe,Sam, and Fred A. Godfrey and Henry Wilheim all of Knoxville. Daughters Mrs. Bobbie Lee Shoemaker and Miss Bettye Godfrey both of Florida, granddaughter Judy Lee Johnson, burial at Glenwood Cemetery.
