Ulyss Paul Reese
Services for Ulyss Paul Reese, 76, of Brinkley Road, who died Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, following a heart attack, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. The Rev. W.D. Thomason will officiate. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Newport, Tn.
He was the son of the late Paul and Ida Samples Reese. He was preceded in death by son Duane Reese; and daughter Vanda Reese. He is survived by his wife, Ardath Baxter Reese; sons Larry (Joy) Reese of Mt. Juliet, Darrell (Lyvonn) Reese and Norman Reese, both of Murfreesboro; brother H.C. Reese of Chestnut Hill; sisters Estelle Teague of Newport, Georgia Douglas and Addie Smelcher, both of White Pine, Mary Burchfield and Faye Owen, both of Sevierville, Phebe Shropshire of Parrotsville; and eight grandchildren.
A native of Jefferson County, he was retired as C.E.O. of Reese Food Brokerage and Reese Inc. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and was a Mason.
