hey TKF, this is Rob Haseldine of Silentsoft and BMG and have you been to www.klikteam.com lately, is it true that Jesse is gone because I have sent lots of E-mails and got no replies this is truly sad... it seems that since he has gont the Click Cafe has been down to is this a sign of some sort??? I would like a reply because I dont know what to say.
My Response (New)
Scratch that last E-mail. I just went to the site again, and it appears Jesse has died. Like I said, he said he'd been diagnosed with cancer, so I guess he's dead. This is a sad event.
-The Klik Factory
My Response
In case you haven't been checking up on my site (shame on you) Jesse recently E-mailed me telling me he had been diagnosed with cancer. He said he would be leaving for a while. I really can't tell what's going on, as I'd guess Jesse hasn't been going on-line. Looks like you'll just have to wait and see if he ever comes back.
-The Klik Factory
NOTE
Check the previous E-mail (right below) to see Jesse's letter he sent to me declaring he would be leaving until further notice. This is truly a sad thing. And although he was annoying at times, I believe he will be missed in the klik community.

Hello Klik Factory,
I am very, very sad to say that I have been diagnosed
with cancer. I will be going under Kemotherapy in 3
weeks. I would hate to die after having so much
planned and being only 12. If I do die it will be very
shortly. Please do not take this as a joke because
this is very not funny. I appreciate you taking the
time to teach me about many things at the Click Cafe.
I would appreciate it if you take the time to put this
on your Mailbag part of the site. I really hope to be
back in a few years. Thank you for your time and keep
up the good work.
-Jesse
P.S. I am very sad. People have said I would never
die at the Click Cafe, well, I really wish that were
true. I am leaving now to meet family and talk to my
doctor. Thank you very much.
-Jesse
NOTE: This is a truly sad letter. Hopefully Jesse will pull through...

Pico's Gaystation?
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PICO'S PAGE? IS HE REALLY GAY LIKE HE SAYS ON
HIS PAGE? WTF?
My Response:
Okay, I have a few theories as to what happened... first of all, I suspect Pico, to totally finalize his leaving the klik community, just screwed up his site and his rep. I'd been trying to get Pico to come back,
and I guess to end the stress Pico just wanted to make it so he couldn't come back.
Another theory is a hacker hacked into the site and screwed everything up. I doubt this though because who would want to screw up a dead site?
So, I'm guessing what happened is Pico wanted to leave, and never to be able to come back.
Yeah, well, that's what I think of the matter, and I'm sure there are few other sites, even super-sites like Total Klik for example, that could cover an event with such accuracy, as I knew him well.
-The Klik Factory
NOTE: This is a note, which is not a comment sent in the letter but rather a comment after the letter in my mail section...
ANYWAYS, it turns out Pico did not vandalize his own site. He told me himself, and I believed him, so I guess some guy really DID screw up his site.
Either way, if you check out Pico's site now (links section) you will see that all it says there now is "The End?".

Nothing wrong with professionalism :P
My Response:
What's the problem with my new site then? It's simple, and easy to navigate. You say there's nothing wrong with professionalism, so why do you like the old design better?

Your site used to be fun and simple. Now its all professionalized. If its
one thing i hate its when good simple sites go bad. I seriously think your
new layout is ":P"
My Response:
Hehe, I knew it would be you that didn't like my new site design. Does that mean your gonna stay with my old site design forever? I really think you should try something like my new one. It's quick loading, and very simple. And how could a little professionalizing hurt?

This is from quadamage3@hotmail.com:
So it sux that you got kikd out of the cafe for a while there. And I
messaged the guy about why u were taken out and he gave the reasons, then
said you would be let back in eventually. I was surprised that he let you
back in so quickly, but I think a lot of your "fans" did the same thing I
did, which resulted (partially) in that. It's also cool how you got your
link in those 3 links at the top (blah, blah, you know what i'm talkin
'bout.) I can't wait for ZB Gold, it souds cool!
Back to my point. After all those e-mails over the summer, you've greatly
helped me learn the klik products. So I thought you could answer another
question: what exactly are "custom platform movement engines" and how are
they made? In the regular events section, or some other way? And are they
just writing code for alternative movement for sidescrolling characters and
putting that character to "static movement" to get the code working right?
If all the above is correct, I've dabbled in doing so myself. If not,
correct me, and I kinda need ta know this 'cause I can't make my characters
move with moving platforms and ... other stuff.
[quadamage]
PS--I just read a book on html and I'm creating a freakin awesome site
called [quadamage headquarters], and it should be out in a couple weeks!
My Response:
Hey, thanks for E-mailing Ryan Sadwick! Although I'm sure he had good intentions all along, I did wonder why he let me back in so fast AND put my link up there. Maybe he just wanted me to apologize.
ANYWAYS, about that "custom platform movement"... Basically this is platform movement created totally in the events with an objects set on static movement. For example, you hold right arrow, it sets the character's X position to the right of itself a bit. Beyond that simple thing, I can't really help you. I did, however, find a cool little tutorial in a post on the Clickteam boards showing how to imitate "Zeb" (a game with custom platform movement) movement. I suggest you go post there (go to www.clickteam.com), and I'm sure someone will help you, maybe even the guy with the tutorial. I can't really help you directly, however, as my custom platform movement ended up totally exploding into a massive set of screwed events.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. Your message is going to be put up in my mail section along with my reply! I'm sure you'll like this, as now everyone that visits my site will know about your upcoming Quadamage site! Cool, eh?
Well, see ya around.

This is from dback@spacemail.com:
Brett,
This site design is much better than the old one because it looks more
organized and professional. It was a good idea to put up Chris's design like
I was wondering if you would earlier.
Congrats on getting into that little space somehow :)
~DBack
My Response:
Glad you like the new design. I finally decided to use it when I realized it wouldn't take too long to load, and it's so much easier to navigate.
Oh yeah, and how did I get my site link in that "little space"? Well, Ryan Sadwick banned me for my bad history of breaking the disclaimer at the cafe, and my article on my new site design was the straw that broke the disclaimer's back... When I apologized to Ryan, he surprisingly offered me the alternative of putting my site link there for a little while, and so it came to be. (Oh yeah, I doubt he'll like it if you E-mail him bugging him to get your link there.)
And thanks for the E-mail, it's in my Mail/QA section now!
