Comprehensive search facilities allow you to trace your long lost loved ones. Very professional and very interesting. Old Maps A chance to see your part of Scotland online from these Victorian maps. Sections can be printed out for free. Very interesting indeed! Banff Old Cemetery Index If you have ancestors from Banff then try this site. A complete indexed set of monumental inscriptions to the old cemetery in Banff. Well done! County of Angus Roll of Honour Many inscriptions from the World War I and II memorials to be seen in the NE of Scotland. Lest we forget... These contain lists of those who were decorated for war service during World War I and II. All free of charge. Check it out! Aberdeen City Registrar Contact details for enquiries to the city registrar. In my experience the staff are usually very helpful! Aberdeenshire Council Burial Records Burial records (and dates of commencement) held by Aberdeenshire Council. These include the graveyards of the now defunct county of Kincardineshire. Very interesting and useful! Portlethen & District An independent website with pictures and details not only of Portlethen but other interesting areas of the North-East. Included are some 360o panoramic views of the district. It's just like being there! Well done Ken! Scottish Graveyards An interesting site that covers such thorny problems as cleaning gravestones. Well worth a look! Carved Stones Scotland This site looks at our Celtic and Pictish past and the treasures left by our ancient ancestors. Some snippets of great interest! Historic Scotland An official site of the Scottish Executive which features articles on what is being done to preserve our heritage along with news of events taking place throughout Scotland. Of special interest to our cousins abroad!

Robert Kinahan Comprehensive work on his ancestors from Skateraw. Other material relates to his relatives from the villages of Portsoy, Fordyce and Sandend. Jim Allan Featuring Christies of Stonehaven who originated in Kincardineshire. Also links to Drumoak, Aberdeenshire - another area of interest to me! Mahoney/Matulovich The site of John and Tania with ancestors including many Christies of Fetteresso. Ancestors of Andrew Christie This website incorporates a mass of family history information pertaining to Andrews' ancestors who hailed from Portlethen and Skateraw.
