FORMER Boyzone star Keith Duffy is to entertain Carlisle clubbers next month. The Irish heart-throb-turned actor, who recently appeared in Coronation Street as womaniser Ciaran McCarthy, will make a personal appearance at Club XS on Thursday, October 3. Bosses at the newly-opened West Walls club are hoping this will be the first in a series of big name guests at the club. Duffy, 28, enjoyed nearly 10 years at the top of the charts with fellow Boyzone members Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham. Since the five singers have gone their separate ways, Duffy has concentrated on a TV career. He has presented travel adventure series The Race on ITV2 and reached the final three in last year's Celebrity Big Brother. Recently, he won more admirers with the part of Peter Baldwin's Navy friend Ciaran in Coronation Street. His Street debut in August attracted 10.1million viewers. Although Duffy's soap stint is over for now, he is widely expected to be back in the soap in the New Year. He said: "I had the most fantastic time working with the cast earlier this year and am really looking forward to meeting up with them all again."
