The Goat Marches On
Hello and welcome to the Journal. It brings me great pleasure to inform all fellow White Sox fans that the south siders have the best record in baseball once again, tied with the Mets and Astros. They are on a six game winning streak and we can only hope it hits seven as we write this.

However, those crappy Cubs have been playing good ball. They have been playing so good it is scary. However as usual, the Cubs hit a wall, and much to the joy of Sox fans, they usually hit it at 50 mph. Remember that superstar shortstop Rafael Furcal from the Braves that the Cubs were supposed to get, we he fucked the Cubs again. Not only did he go to the Dodgers on a last minute deal, but he may have taken out one of the best first basemen in the history of baseball for 2 months. That man is Derrek Lee. In a freak accident, Furcal ran into Lee on a simple throw to first and broke his wrist.

Now fellow Sox fans, I am with you. Being a Sox fan, I hate the Cubs and their moronic fans. I can’t stand that dumb shit Ron Santo, and the fact that this second rate team gets more press than the World Champions makes me want to puke, but the Cubs don’t even deserve this. At first, I was happy and even cracking Derrek Lee jokes. Like what is the difference between a chronic masturbator and Derrek Lee? The masturbator broke his wrist for a good reason (meaning playing for the Cubs is pointless.) One other thing we must remember about Lee, he was on the Marlins playing some good ball when they beat the Cubs during that memorable 2003 playoff season. No one likes to see anyone get injured, much less the way Lee went down.

Now Cub fans are in a funk. Typical. As soon as a big star gets injured, they all get depressed and throw in the towel for the season. The Cardinals as I predicted kicked their ass badly yesterday, but I say to all Cubs fans, don’t lose hope.

I say this because if the Cubs are truly a good team, they will come back and win. My dream is this, a Sox vs. Cubs World Series. I want to see the Cubs succeed somewhat unless they are playing the Sox for the sole purpose of kicking their ass in the off-season. Watching the Sox sweep the Cubs during the series would be awesome!

So Sox fans, don’t make fun of Lee being injured…then again do it if you must. I know I have been laughing it up, but Cub fans don’t fret. You can get past .500 still. The Astros came back last year and look where they ended up. The Cubs suck, but we can only hope for the Windy City World Series. It happened in 2000 in New York, it happened in Chicago 100 years ago. Who won that one and if it did in fact take place in 2006, who would win that one? Thank you and please have a seat Cub fans, on a thorn bush.

SOX 4 LIFE,
MJ
