Seamless background tiles
are wonderful in designing. As you can see I have resized the background
tile used on this page by 50% and even colorized it to make the border
around the header.
The difference in them
looks out of whack, but I did this for a reason. I wanted you to see
that even though the original tile is in the blue family, it can be
taken into other color values as well.
Feel free to colorize
and resize my tiles. They are the only graphics on this site that can be
altered by you. Filter them, distort them, etc,. And why do I allow
this? "Cause technically anyone who used the same process and
filters as I did could actually come up with the same design or pretty
dang near it! So go wild.
To use my tiles, just R click on them and "save picture/image as" to your own hard
drive.
All the above tiles are
seamless. To use them as I have on this page, you need to set the tile
as your background image and then create a table with 1 column x 1 row x
90%, 0 border, 0 cell spacing, 0 cell padding. All your images and text
will go inside this table. It will expand as you type in it or as you
insert images within it.
Visit Marlie's
site for a great tile tutorial. Very simple and quick!
