"God's Everlasting Love"
As evening turned to night,
My heart was full of care,
The burdens of the day,
Seemed just to much to bear,
They grew and multiplied,
And filled me full of gloom,
I had to talk to Jesus.
In the quiet of my room.
"Dear Lord, I need you now,
To help me understand.
I am so weak and weary,
I need a helping hand."
Then through the quiet stillness,
I felt his presence near,
I saw a small white form,
Flash quickly through the air.
It swooped around my shoulders,
In an instant it was gone.
It took my heavy burden,
And filled my heart with song.
God had sent His Holy Spirit,
In the form of a dove.
To assure me of his promise,
Of His everlasting love.
