BodyWhen Chicago's WBMX radio station stopped broadcasting, it was a deep wound to Chicago's dance music scene. WBMX introduced the world to Chicago House and Jack music in the early 1980's through the mixing skills of the legendary "Hot Mix 5." As WBMX continued to pump classic Chicago House Music throughtout the 80's and 90's, the world was exposed to DJ greats like Farley "Jackmaster" Funk (a.k.a. Farley "Funkin" Keith), Fast Eddie, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Julian "Jumpin" Perez, Frankie Knuckles, Lil Farley and Bad Boy Bill among others. The day Chicago lost WBMX, a part of the city's rich music culture died.

Back from the grave, the rebirth of WBMX is here in the form of WBMX.COM! Fans of the station, and of the DJ's --and their hot mixes-- can listen 24/7 online. WBMX LIVES AGAIN!!!! In the immortal words of Julian "Jumpin" Perez' turntables...'GET ON DOWN AND PARTY!!!"
