Looting Rules

Class specific items require certain amounts of reputation to turn them in, so it would make sense that those with the required rep got the items first. If an item requires honored, we will call out honored and above first for the roll... if no one is honored that needs it, we move down to friendly, if no one is friendly, we move down to neutral.

The entire instance will be Master Looted by me (most likely). Anything that drops will be /random 1-20 and distributed according to your number on MY list. I really have no interest in screwing anyone, so don't worry xD Drops like Bloodvine, Firey Core, etc. will be taken by me to be put in the guild bank. To obtain such items for use in patterns: get the rest of the mats and let me know what you're making :) Any epics that drop that no one needs will be DE'd by an enchanter and the shard will go to the guild bank for funding the next run.

Whenever a boss is looted and the loot pops in raid chat, you will have 20-30 seconds before I disallow the initial bidding of any more DKP. If someone bids DKP, it is up to the people interested in the item to either bid DKP if you have enough or pass. A maximum of 3 minutes will be taken up by the DKP bidding session. If you bid after I say DKP closed, your bid will not count. So pay fucking attention -- I'm not going to sit there distributing loot for 10 minutes every time. You cannot bid .5 DKP, only whole numbers. Not all drops will be worthy of someone using the minimum of 15 DKP, so they will be handled as always by the C > N > G roll. The maximum amount of DKP anyone is allowed to spend on an item is 100 DKP -- no one has that much yet, so I don't anticipate this being a problem.

IF YOU PUT OUT A BID AND YOU HAVE THAT MUCH DKP, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE AMOUNT OF DKP YOU SAID... TYPE CAREFULLY OR CORRECT QUICKLY. ONCE YOU DECLARE AN AMOUNT YOU MUST ABIDE BY IT, ASSUMING YOU HAVE THE REQUIRED DKP. CLEAR ALL RAID CHAT WHILE I'M DISTRIBUTING LOOT AND ALLOW ONLY THE PEOPLE INTERESTED IN A PIECE OF LOOT TO SORT OUT THEIR DKP. I DON'T WANT PEOPLE DICKING AROUND AFTER WE KILL A BOSS - RATHER I'D LIKE TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT ONE xD IF YOU ARE TALKING IN RAID CHAT DURING LOOTING, I WILL BOOT YOU FROM THE GROUP UNTIL AFTER LOOT IS DONE SO YOU STOP ANNOYING US.

When bidding DKP on an item, you do not have to outbid the person before you. If you want, you can just match their value and you two (or three, four, etc.) will have a roll off.

Please read the DKP section for more information on the DKP system and the looting rules. If a situation is brought up that isn't addressed on this site, I WILL MAKE A DECISION ON IT IMMEDIATELY AND POST IT IMMEDIATELY.

If you don't agree with any of this... don't raid with us. We are building a system where we can get some people decked out for future progress and endeavors, not where people can swoop in for one run and gank our gear xD

What you do with your DKP is completely up to you; however, if you are trying to steal some other class's item I do reserve the right to /slap you and tell you that your bid will not be accepted.

Also realize that when 1 person starts bidding DKP on a highly coveted item, it could result in a large chain-reaction of bidding. If you know that you'll get in to a bidding war you'll lose (you have 20 DKP against 4 others with 70 DKP), it seems there would be very little point in opening the bidding. Let's help people save their DKP and not go crazy trying to burn it. If we can get relatively the same 40 man group together every time we run, there won't be much need for a DKP system except on ultra rare drops. If you plan on coming with us a lot, I'd suggest saving your DKP and letting the others go nuts spending theirs. In 2 months those of us with 300+ DKP will be able to come through and snatch 3-4 nice epics off the latter bosses in one run. I'm not too worried about who wins the items off these first few bosses as long as they are planning on coming with us relatively often :)

DKP for loot will be used in all 20-man+ instances. It doesn't seem worth it for a lot of people to use the DKP in ZG/AQ20, but we will leave the option open in case that very special epic drops xD In 20 man instances you do not get DKP per hour, only per boss downed. In 40 man instances is where the hourly wage applies :)
