The biggest of Brown's homeruns came in the bottom of the fourth. With the 301's trailing by two runs, Brown came to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs. After falling behind in the count 0-2, Brown lined the next pitch to right field for a go-ahead grand slam. It would prove to be the game winner as 301's pitcher Joe Kotsovos was able to hold the lead in the fifth inning.
Brown knocked in six of the ten Greek Village runs with his three homers. Kotsovos hit a pair of homeruns to drive in three and Zach Roe hit his first longball of the series to drive in a run. The three players combined to hit back-to-back-to-back homeruns in the third inning.
The turning point of the game came in the Tanks' half of the third. Already leading 3-1, the Tanks loaded the bases with nobody out, threatening to blow the game open. They could only push across one run, however, as the 301's cut down three runners at the plate with cross-outs.
Eric Paslack drove in four runs for the Tanks. Josh Williams contributed three batted in and Scott Williams drove in two. Paslack, Josh Williams and Scott Williams each hit two homeruns.
The series debut of Brown made him the sixth different 301's player to appear in the series, as the Greek Village 301's will have to continue to piece together their game-day roster in the wake of McAndie's injury.
