It was not a good day to be a pitcher as the teams combined to go the entire game without a scoreless inning. In the end, the Tanks would prevail with a 13-12 win in what was a see-saw battle the entire way.
The 301's made things interesting late. In the visitor's half of the fifth, trailing by three runs, Jamison McAndie nearly brought the 301's back into the game by drilling two homeruns to cut the deficit to just one. However, Zach Roe, playing in his first game of the year, grounded out to pitcher Josh Williams for the final out of the game.
The turning point in the game came in the bottom of the fourth, as the Tanks used three homeruns, one by Scott Williams and two by Josh Williams, to rally from a two-run deficit and take a three run lead.
Josh Williams paced the Tanks attack with four homeruns and six runs batted in, while also picking up his first win of the series from the mound. Scott Williams added two homeruns of his own and Eric Paslack contributed a first inning grand slam, his first homerun of the series. Additionally, Paslack was sharp on defense, as several line drives found their way into his hands.
The 301's had two players, Joe Kotsovos and Jamison McAndie, with four-homerun games. But it would not be enough. Kotsovos' eight runs batted in and McAndie's four could not deliver the victory. Through three games, no other Greek Village player besides Kotsovos and McAndie has homered. Zach Roe became the fifth different 301 to appear in a game this year.
