my love of recording the events of my life
isn't enough for me to keep putting everything down before I forget it- or something like that, but it's not important that one remembers (or even knows) everything that they've been though.

-that reminds me of naiviety, when people are some what unaware of things that happen around them... as I think about it, I realize that I am like that at times- things go on and I'm not conscious of them. -that can be good, and that can be bad.

-but what about when life-changing things happen?
should I be alert with regards to them?
-what if they're not happening to me, but to someone I don't know very well...?

hmm...
I don't know.
I'm quite naive.

(would say more, but should get to bed.)

Name: John (Brian's dad)

Yeah, it's probably important to pay attention to life-changing events. On the other hand, we (at least I) frequently don't recognize the life-changing character of some events while they are occurring, but only afterward. Like when I met my future wife (Brian's mom) for the first time. Thank God for His gift of memory! And if we don't recognize them even when they happen to us, I suppose we should be forgiven if we sometimes don't recognize them when they happen to other people. ;-)
