I have wings?
...at least, that's what this quiz said of me:

Angel
You are one of the few out there whose wings are
truly ANGELIC. Selfless, powerful, and
divine, you are one blessed with a certain
cosmic grace. You are unequalled in
peacefulness, love, and beauty. As a Being of
Light your wings are massive and a soft white
or silver. Countless feathers grace them and
radiate the light within you for all the world
to see. You are a defender, protector, and
caretaker. Comforter of the weak and forgiver
of the wrong, chances are you are taken
advantage of once in awhile, maybe quite often.
But your innocence and wisdom sees the good in
everyone and so this mistreatment does not make
you colder. Merciful to the extreme, you will
try to help misguided souls find themselves and
peace. However not all Angelics allow
themselves to be gotten the better of - the
Seraphim for example will be driven to fighting
for the sake of Justice and protection of those
less powerful. Congratulations - and don't ever
change - the world needs more people like you.

(by the way, this person did this really well
-unlike most people, she really thought this through and took the time to make the quiz coherent and understandable- this even seems ... accurate!! o.O 0.o;;

wow.)

****
NOTE: this quiz is very ...well, I don't know what to say, I think- no, it definately appears that the creator of this quiz really believes in all that this quiz embodies... which is, well not exactly in line with what I believe.

I took this quiz for entertainment.
-and I say, that should be the main reason that you would find yourself taking the test

that said, I must give yet another warning (-sigh-)

there is some slight frontal nudidty in one of the pictures that result and some of the pictures are somewhat disturbing- tread with caution

this does not get a
Daiko recommends

the quiz has good points and bad points
I'm all for the good
not for the bad.

that is all.

****
final NOTE: I am so sorry that I've brought such a mixed quiz out for you guys, and I had to write such a strange disclaimer too... ai yai yai, that's it- after this, I'm only doing "everybody-friendly quizzes" and any others will be hidden as comments.

belated things, now in writing!
...I had meant to write something about The Return of the King but several events took place since my last posting on Wednesday- and I shall attend to those.

Of course, I am not going to neglect what I had said earlier, and have for you dear reader, a couple links which should shed some light on the aforementioned topic.

Here they are:

The Lure of the Obvious

-this article pretty much sums up my views on the movie. Keep in mind that this is from my point of view, and that if you have not read the book yet, it won't impact you as strongly as it did me.

(Alicia, Cassandra- if either one of you is reading this, read this well and slowly- see what we're trying to say...)

and, Sam and Gollum: The Two Sides of Frodo

This is an analysis of the literature and goes a bit deeper than one would normally expect with regards to how the story has been seen in today's current culture.

****
Okay, enough of that.

...

It was Wednesday night, I was driving home from the college- the hour was late, the weather cold, and the roads dark.

...somehow, my headlights weren't working properly, and for awhile I found myself driving in the dark.

I was blind.

-of course, that is not good so I pulled over at a place close to my college...I think it's the Pell "factory" (as you can see, I'm not exactly sure).

There I found myself, and I played around with my lights hoping to find out what was wrong.

A man was walking close by
I didn't know what his intentions were
but it looked like he was either a guard or just someone on his way home (on foot).

I called out to him (calling him "Sir" since I didn't know what else to say)

and he helped me.

I was able to see!
-more importantly, I was able to drive home and I wasn't stuck without help or cell phone.

Thank God
I said as I drove away.

I had thanked the man as well, but...
stupid, stupid me

I never thought to ask him his name
and he doesn't know mine either

still, since I know you're out there,

thank you Sir!!

-and that is my [over-simplified] story.

I am grateful to be here
and able to say this.

^_^ ...(I hope this reaches him somehow.)

pray for me.

-sweetness!! (of a really random post)
I didn't mean to have another entry for today, but something nice happened!

You see, I was looking at one of my favorite webcomics and I saw a filler image (which was nice, but I was missing the story pages) when a few seconds later- it got updated!

*many "yays!!" from the Daiko ensue*

Also, I will have a spoiler-y review of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King soon- or at least, my response to the movie...

people who have yet to both
read the book
and see the movie
should not read this.

*laughs deviantly*
(it would have been just wrong and embarassing to have written that out- I am above that... enka-kun isn't ^_^)

and that webcomic I was talking about?

well, that was the light-hearted and often not too serious, RPG World comic

it's nice, it even gets...

a Daiko recommendation!!

*fanfare*

*yay!!* I got a dollar
and other somewhat non-serious things...

why?

-because I can (well, I will just for now)

****
besides the free money incident in my class
(this was just a few minutes ago, one of my fellow students was feeling sorry for the professor and took it upon herself to go and get him something nice to drink since she believed him thirsty, and because he wouldn't accept her monies)

A different girl from my class had told me the above, and then said, "-some student stole the money!" ...I felt really embarassed and didn't say anything at that moment, I was silent because professor had said I could take it... ^^;; I'm not a thief because of this, am I?

o.o;;

Earlier in the day, I was visited by two nicely-dressed ladies from Jehovah's Witnesses

o.o o.o and o.o!!

which is really odd for many reasons.

-they expected to speak to me in Spanish
(which I am not fluent in at all)

-I am Catholic, and a Christian firm in her faith,
a believer in miracles (Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that such blessed events occur...)

but, I dealt with them kindly and they left
[both parties were a little confused after the encounter]

and they gave me some magazines to read.

the magazines?

Respectively: Awake! and another Jehovah's Witnesses publication The Watchtower

Now, these do contain some articles that are relevant and fully true, but not everything is correct...

The bad part is that what is written was done in such a way some of the articles are quite misleading. How? Well, it would appear that they have truth mixed with half truths. -sigh- It's hard to explain...(especially with my time limits)

I wonder, how did they get to my house in the first place?

...

[that's enough on that, for now]

Yesterday, I uploaded some newer artwork to deviantART- you can see it if you desire.

Of course, when you get to my page
you will have to scroll down a bit
and then you will get to
the art I have put up in my gallery

click on the names of the pieces
or the pictures themselves
to view them

and...

enjoy!!

****
final NOTE: I am sorry that today's entry of mine made such little sense, it was disjointed and hard to read, I know- so is my train of thought (isn't yours?)

Of course, by everything I have wrote
I mean no offense to ANYONE

so take NONE.

and remember, comment decently or not at all.
****

praying for you,

pray for me!!

third Daiko quiz of the year
and, quite inaccurate [of course]

How random are you?

this quiz was made by alanna

...really needs to have more options- t'was too limited.

transcriptions from Sunday
in other words, what I've written in my journal (notebook) on that day (yesterday)

[Yes, this is how Daiko writes to God.
Yes, it is odd and everything isn't written out clearly- this is where freedom in inscribing comes in; translation: He doesn't mind if it's hard to read]

begin transcription:
****

-sigh- My room is currently in a state of disarray- I have yet to fix it up... also, I forgot what it was that I wanted to say... that is bothersome to me.

Anyhow, my perceptions [of things...] don't matter greatly- You are the only one who sees everyone and everything completely and correctly- not me.

Still, I want to know what is best: to do the right thing, and to see things clearly- which, I can't do without You of course. -sigh-

Help me in my elimination of things that stand in the way of sanctification. For how can I truly be a holy person who is in tune with You if I am not spending my energies and time on Your will?

No, that must not be so.

I must live according to Your desires and not anyone else's if I want to be truly happy [as paradoxal as that may seem]

Somehow
somehow
somehow,
I will get over these slumps, and frights that are felt within my heart, and irritations of trivial things, and guilt of not doing more.

-for this will not help me.

It is all an obstacle in the way of my fully loving God, and are pains that do cause [unnecessary words omitted here] harm...

I prefer the steady firmness of Christ to these shaky, flimsy mental preoccupations anyway.

I'm not happy with the way things have been, nor am I glad about the [word omitted] discomfort I am causing myself right now.

-I will change this.

...

****
transcription ended.

-as to the discomfort I had caused myself as well as the disarrray I found myself in...

I resolved that. ^_^

...this just goes to show how different my writing style is in opposition to my blogging

-I didn't think that this would be the case, since I'm the same person... ah well, this can be remedied.

pray for me~

praying for you.

****
NOTE: I just noted that all the spaces that I'd originally typed in this post to mimic my style in journal writing didn't show up here... I'll let it slide for now.

Saturday of a Daiko
in which, once again- for the second time this year, she [and this time, her brother as well] has missed the opportunity for Confession at her parish.

;_; sadness!!

Besides that, the day has been pretty fair.

I'm here and happy- I've started knitting my first sweater ever, and I just love it!! ^_^

...I haven't said much about this hobby of mine, have I?

oops.

Well, I didn't mean to omit that particular detail about myself...actually, I've omitted lots more than that, haven't I?

I've still yet to do the "introduction posting" that is so common to people who do the bloging thing- I'm sorry, I'll remedy this neglect of mine some time within the year (yes, I will... why are you laughing? ^^;;)

Anyways, that was a piece of my life.

-praying for you as always...

see you next week everybody!!

mini update
just a little something before lunch over here...

Well, the Daiko's back online
but not too often

though she's got internet access at home,
and her family's computer returned from the shop and is working decently.

...

Also, I've got a webcam now
and I guess I'll see about using it to put some images online *shudders*

but,
I'm kinda shy about having people see me
not that I'm ugly and painful to look at

I just wonder if I should and all.

-that being said, how is it that one goes about to having a webcam broadcast to the net?

I know how one would use a 'cam when it comes to
instant messengers and all that, but as to having a website for the thing? I don't know.

help would be nice.

^_^

...I'll be back...later.
