trying to learn about selling online
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: an episode of Early Edition downstairs (I'm not watching it though)
Topic: selling online

uh... specifically, I'm wondering about getting a paypal account and about whether I should sell on eBay (which I sometimes call evil Bay half-jokingly) I do have a lot of things that could be useful to others, and I could use more money since I'm in college...

I even have permission from my mother, but I'm not going to try this out until I get more information- I don't want to jump into this and end up in a lot of trouble, but I think that this wouldn't be so bad- I could handle it...

I know of some people who have eBay accounts and sell their things online, so I could probably do it too...

hmm...

****
-a little while ago, I bought a book that I don't really need- I didn't know this when I bought it though, I had expected to purchase a book that would help me learn how to use mySQL effectively, but it didn't- still, it's a pretty good book which deals with ASP programming

and I'll try to sell it...

-Daiko~
(yup, this is it
-sorry for breaking off the entry like this
but I don't know what else to say...)

Today's word is:
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Tekkaman Blade episode 18 in the background...
Topic: vocabulary

[Anguish]

-it would be nice if more people used this excellent word rather than this so-called word, "angsty"

Pondering the nature of viruses (and other things)
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: nothing really.
Topic: resources
-yes, I was pondering the nature of viruses- how they invade and at times pervert the true nature of the living creatures that they claim as their hosts.

...it is quite intriguing that viruses aren't even classified as living creatures due to the fact that they cannot reproduce on their own (nor do they consume and excrete materials as we do)- I am going to study them in microbio. class, and I hope to learn more about them.

Aside from that thought,
I have recently been viewing places online in search of web hosting, and I have run across some worthy places:

[100 Best Free Web Space.com]
this is a site which lists and reviews various free and paid hosting services

[Free pro host]
this place will offer you a lovely 100mb site with other wonderful features such as mySQL ^_^

[Lifetime webhosting.com]
-like their URL says, they'll host you for a good long time, possibly for your entire life!
-this isn't a free service though, but you only pay them a one time fee and you will have their services until the day you stop having them as your host.

Anyways, for today
not much was done...

-sigh- it's been strange around here
my older brother has been sick (off and on)
for the past few days now
at times he would have a fever
and then he would not later in the day

I don't get it
(but I would appreciate your earnest prayers for him,
I really don't know what's wrong, yet I'm happy that my mom is going to take him to the doctor soon...)

-sigh-

Well, because my brother was ill
I stayed in today
I didn't go out
not even to the library or to confession
as I usually do...

-I felt a bit odd not doing that
not going along with my normal routine.

-and there's other things going on as well
which I have a hard time saying,
but I can still ask you to pray for me,
so I will.

-Daiko~
(pray for me, please.)
(yes, I will fix this entry up more later.)
(... hm, I wonder- I could link my [deviantART journal] in the sidebar, couldn't I?)

The word of the day is...
Now Playing: Sanctus Real- Everything About You
Topic: vocabulary
[Angst]

this word is often misused and should be replaced with melodrama instead at appropriate times.

(short entry for now.
I'll work on this blog later.)

I changed the blog setup
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: no music, but I would like to listen to Superchic[k] actually... the song "TV Land" specifically.
Topic: blog/site work
and I don't know if I like it exactly- I'm not sure of how everything works...

Actually, I do understand how [most of] the options work, and I do like some of the new features, but I now have changed this blog to be a community blog and things are different when I try to post... I don't think I like this, and I'm pretty much just a solitary blogger so I am going to try changing the settings again- maybe that will help me.

...

Actually, I don't know if it would be a good idea for me to remain a solitary blogger or not- would you the reader be so kind as to give me your opinion (and possibly, prayers) on this matter? I would truly appreciate it- and I would really like the help in making this decision.

Of course, I could also just make another blog similar to this one for community purposes... wow, that also sounds like a good idea!

ack! I want to make the best decision!
...help, please?

-Daiko~
(yeah, not too much now
I should be studying
I'll do more editing later.)

Pray for me!~

lovely school days
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: silence (no music- just sounds in the background)
I've just started my fall semester of school today- I'm heading off to my microbio lecture class, and I'll be back to do more blogging later.

****
Okay, I returned from my class some time ago- it was nice [for a standard first day- the teacher introduced himself and went over the rules and the syllabus] and things look really promising.

I am so happy that I'll be able to borrow the Microbio books from my lovely friend Ashley- she is so wonderful :heart emote here:

-I think I will really enjoy this class... (I like the microscopic world- it's invisible!!) [and I'm having a hard time getting all the words out on this at the moment... ah well]
I guess that should be obvious...

Anyway, I'll be writing more about this and other stuff in this blog- but later.

****
I just love this blog now!!
I will stay here~

*goes off to edit the entry on her brother's birthday*

Jaded? (somewhat) [Olympics & Art]
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: Olympics on tv in the background.
Topic: wondering where I stand
yes, I feel this way somewhat with regard to the two things I mentioned above in the title

I posted about my "jaded-ness" in art over in the CAA's forums a bit earlier this night.

-of course, I'm probably wrong in regards to the way that I am evaluating things- actually, I'm rambling...

****
Anyway, what I originally wished to post about in my blog for this entry is this: I'm getting tired of the Olympics.

...

I know that these are beautiful events, and that they are great to watch- but I'm the kind of person who can identify when things are set up in a formula-like way, and after a while when I see these things, I don't like them as much as I did intially.

-I'm beginning to see during the broadcasts of the Olympic games (as I watch in America):
excited commentators who were former athletes
judges making many weird decisions with regards to rules and scoring
dramatic/melodramatic use of music throughout the footage of the athletes' performances

and...
overplaying of the National Anthem

-Don't get me wrong, I DO appreicate everyone's efforts with regards to this, and I am fully aware of how beautiful and wonderful the Olympics really are- but I'm tired.

...
meh, I don't think that I stated this too well tonight- I'll return to this subject in the future (if I can).

-Daiko~
(wow, I see all these wonderful new features that the Angelfire blogs have recieved- yay for new upgrades!! )

and I've really been enjoying it~

just a few minutes ago, I saw the my home country win the swimming relay (yay!! U.S.A.!!)

and...
what Micheal Phelps said was amazing.

I am so happy~

-Daiko~
*goes off to watch more of the Olympics tonight*
(please pray for me...)

so that hurricane ended up changing direction
-which is also odd since my cousin who lives in Pinellas had evacuated, but after she left her home the evacuation status was lowered to voluntary leaving only- interesting.

Anyways, hurricane Charley did arrive today- and you can find futher details on its/his(?) effects on many sites- I will not be discussing that in too much depth though.

-for me, it was an odd day
I didn't get to go out today, except for when I went outside the house to move several of my Mom's potted plants (I put some inside the house while I placed some in the garage and in other safe places where the wind wouldn't get to them and cause them to do dramatic damage) and to bring in some groceries.

ugh, I spent most of the day watching the tv though- that wasn't fun (I don't like what's on broadcast television usually, I prefer DVD's and entertaining myself- but that's another topic altogether.) so that I would keep up to date on Charley's direction
...that made me so sleepy- I feel like I slept most of the day away (*slept for more than an hour*).

-over here, I'm a bit north of Tampa
so I and my community was quite fortunate that we did not recieve the full blast of the storm (unlike the poor people who live further to the east from us- like those in Fort Myers) -the eye of the hurricane ended up heading west.

Yeah, I was safe
and this hurricane was a big deal after all- I'll try to not take things like this so lightly in the future (I saw footage of a post office having the winds rip off the metal roof like it was some sort of heavy blanket o.0!! ...)

Thank You Lord
for Your kindness
and for making sure that not too many people were harmed-

Father, I am so thankful.

-Daiko~
(pray for me)
