HTML and other things (like setting up an OP board)
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: good Christian music in background (can't recall title of the song I'm hearing- I know it though...)
Topic: adventures!
(hah ha! -longest "now playing" line ever!- or not...?
small EDIT: it really didn't fit, but I found out that the song was "This World has Nothing for Me" or at least, that's what I think that the title is.)

woo...

it's been a bit tedious for me, I've been setting up a website over at ifreepages.com and trying to get an Oekaki Poteto board to work under my account there- it hasn't been easy for me (I want to get up a review of my time at that place- I could recommend some other places to be better- ^^;; ...)

****
Anyways, get ready for an update folks- more specifically, I am going to change my simple page from being a very blue simple hand-coded HTML-only page, I am going to use a nice template [which makes use of lovely div layers] instead! -woo hoo!

I am learning to make wonderful webpages
(and div layers, I love you~~~!)

...

if you don't know what I'm talking about, that's okay- don't mind me. ^_^;;

****
slightly bigger EDIT: I found a nice oekaki today- http://www.affl.xc2.de/ I'll be visiting more often in the fututre.

-Daiko~
(the last of the simple blue pages!
...I think I'll screenshot my index and updates page before I change everything though- yeah.)

oh, the joys of advanced programming languages.
Mood:  irritated
Topic: irritation

or something like that. -sigh-
I'm lost and trying to learn about mySQL too... more specifically, I'm trying to set up an oekaki board (that uses the Oekaki Poteto code) on my new website (hosted by www.100webspace.com) but I've been running into technical errors. -sigh-

****

-oh well, God loves me.

...

-Daiko~
(pray for me
-.-;; and there's yet ANOTHER hurricane coming!
-some of us are getting a bit irritated over here. -sigh-)

good resources
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: (slight irritations on Dinah's end)
Topic: resources
[Free digital art (and photo editing) tools]

[Webmasters' empire.com]

http://www.superimagehost.com

Netrulon.com (this place looks like they will be really good once they get started up, but I wonder if they are really able to provide so much and if they're truly any better than this other place that I mentioned earlier. Also, I found what looks like another good paid hosting service just a little while ago.)

webceo.com

webscale.com

I'm posting this for my own good- this still isn't finished though.

****
I found this nice place that had a good tutorial on ftp [while I was searching on Google], but I still don't know if it is possible to use ftp on a computer that is not one's home computer (I think that it is though) -sigh- I want to e-mail some one so that I can recieve a definative answer (which I'm hoping will be, "yes")

****
EDIT2: arrgh! I was about to finish this entry off, but for some reason the computer that I am on acts strange whenever I close a browser window and shuts everything down- it's okay though. ...Anyway, this is a journal entry in which I pretty much just share some resources with the internet community in general- I had meant to post about my recent experiences over the weekend while I was away at Rock the Universe but that hasn't happened yet...

ah well, I'll think on happy things... like [tablet macs] and [mouse pens]... and interesting wacom products.

(oooh, Googly-ness... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=Tablet+Mac&btnG=Google+Search)

-sigh- and that's all for now.

(woo hoo! just a bit more before I stop this and get to class... http://www.gizmodo.com/archives/a-tablet-mac-by-january-007994.php http://www.kstati.com/tabula/

yay for Tablet macs! -I say they're the future.)

[/unfinished entry]

not ready!
Mood:  rushed
Now Playing: Overboard (movie on tv downstairs)
Topic: adventures!
tomorrow, I am to leave for Rock the Universe with my church- I don't know if I'll even be able to find a seat on the bus, and if there will be time to go to confession tomorrow, but God will help (help, help, help! ;_; -no, I'm not despairing, but I could use some help because I don't feel ready, and I don't have any money :cries a bit: )

-sigh-
Anyway, I need to make sure that I get to my church before 2 pm (that way, I won't be left behind [by the bus] ;_;'') and to make sure that I can get some food

-seriously though, I think everything is going to be just fine, it's just that I'm not mentally prepared- yet, I've done pretty well on less, and I'll be with good people. ^-^

(sorry for the blather, just wanted to get this out into the open...)

-Daiko~
(pray for me,
and pray for Florida- it's been quite an active hurricane season around here -sigh- -.-)

trying to learn about selling online
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: an episode of Early Edition downstairs (I'm not watching it though)
Topic: selling online

uh... specifically, I'm wondering about getting a paypal account and about whether I should sell on eBay (which I sometimes call evil Bay half-jokingly) I do have a lot of things that could be useful to others, and I could use more money since I'm in college...

I even have permission from my mother, but I'm not going to try this out until I get more information- I don't want to jump into this and end up in a lot of trouble, but I think that this wouldn't be so bad- I could handle it...

I know of some people who have eBay accounts and sell their things online, so I could probably do it too...

hmm...

****
-a little while ago, I bought a book that I don't really need- I didn't know this when I bought it though, I had expected to purchase a book that would help me learn how to use mySQL effectively, but it didn't- still, it's a pretty good book which deals with ASP programming

and I'll try to sell it...

-Daiko~
(yup, this is it
-sorry for breaking off the entry like this
but I don't know what else to say...)

Pondering the nature of viruses (and other things)
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: nothing really.
Topic: resources
-yes, I was pondering the nature of viruses- how they invade and at times pervert the true nature of the living creatures that they claim as their hosts.

...it is quite intriguing that viruses aren't even classified as living creatures due to the fact that they cannot reproduce on their own (nor do they consume and excrete materials as we do)- I am going to study them in microbio. class, and I hope to learn more about them.

****
Aside from that thought,
I have recently been viewing places online in search of web hosting, and I have run across some worthy places:

[100 Best Free Web Space.com]
this is a site which lists and reviews various free and paid hosting services

[Free pro host]
this place will offer you a lovely 100mb site with other wonderful features such as mySQL ^_^

[Lifetime webhosting.com]
-like their URL says, they'll host you for a good long time, possibly for your entire life!
-this isn't a free service though, but you only pay them a one time fee and you will have their services until the day you stop having them as your host.

****
Anyways, for today
not much was done...

-sigh- it's been strange around here
my older brother has been sick (off and on)
for the past few days now
at times he would have a fever
and then he would not later in the day

I don't get it
(but I would appreciate your earnest prayers for him,
I really don't know what's wrong, yet I'm happy that my mom is going to take him to the doctor soon...)

-sigh-

Well, because my brother was ill
I stayed in today
I didn't go out
not even to the library or to confession
as I usually do...

-I felt a bit odd not doing that
not going along with my normal routine.

-and there's other things going on as well
which I have a hard time saying,
but I can still ask you to pray for me,
so I will.

-Daiko~
(pray for me, please.)
(yes, I will fix this entry up more later.)
(... hm, I wonder- I could link my [deviantART journal] in the sidebar, couldn't I?)
