what am I reading today?
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: *rumbly Daiko tummy and thoughts*

(hm, as of late no comments have been left on my recent entries- should I take it to mean that no ones reading what I write here? ...hmm, even if I no longer have any audience, I'll continue to write- I remember, I started this blog for my own sake, so I wouldn't forget the events of days gone by [as well as interesting URLs ^_^;;...] so, the blog goes on!)

anyhow, I went through some of my links (on my right sidebar) and I realized that I hadn't visited those places for quite a few days now due to me being preoccupied... I'm glad that I checked Boundless and OT though, I found some interesting articles:

Boundless.org

http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/index.shtml
http://www.opinionjournal.com/la/?id=110005745
http://www.robgagnon.net/homoPresbyTodayArticle.htm

****
On another note, I find myself singing snatches of "Kyrie Eleson" and I'm not sure of why, but I went to look the song up on Google....

I got these results:
Kyrie Elesion
Kyrie Eleison (alternate spelling suggestion)

but, I'm singing a variation of the song in which one of the verses is Kyrie, Kyrie Eleison~ and I'm not sure which one it is (I don't enjoy only having pieces of a song, I'd rather have the whole thing to sing and to remember in full.)

...

hmm, in my original Google search I found an interesting blather entry under the title of "requiem"

-so, the results of this have been quite interesting, I'll come back to this after I eat lunch (;-;'' and it's kind of late for me to do this- yikes! I'll be going offline now...)

****
-ah! come to think of it, I haven't visited this oekaki board in awhile now.

[/unfinished entry]

time to work! (but first...)
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: the Daiko is poor and wants to get employed song!
Topic: resources

I found an interesting place for possible webhosting (for future reference) and it looks very promising (especially now since Netrulon.com is now dead.)

Dickblick.com
an online art supply store

an excellent resource that lists various free webhosts

the promising host I mentioned

I can X hosting.com
-the best deal I've ever seen for webhosting
they will be a lifetime host for one payment!
(I will probably do a more in-depth review of these guys in the future, just keep in mind that they're excellent- they'll even give you a free domain name if you choose them for hosting!)

****
Anyways, aside from all that above,
the Daiko is currently wondering how she could get some nice paid work...

I've got an account over at e-bay, and I do have my lovely store but I'm still not recieving any income from either (not even my shop, and I've had that open for a few months now T-T *sniff*)... ah, and I don't think anyone seems to care for a commisssion from me either. -sigh-

...but that's okay
while money is important, it isn't my ultimate goal- not at all

it's just that this is a thing, a tool that lets me do things- in the end, money is really worthless
but to live in this world, it can help me -sigh-

Lord, may I never be obsessed with money
I know that you will take care of me,
that you told me not to worry
I'd rather be faithful and do as You say
rather than be rich

I would do well to remember this when I think of all the things that I'd like to have...

-Daiko~
(pray for me...
and my little brother- he needs help getting through college with having ADD and all...)

Hunter x Hunter yay!
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: "I can be your friend" VeggieTales song
Topic: bits and pieces

I have been marathoning Hunter x Hunter since Friday of last week- I've gotten through quite a bit of the series so far (I'm up to the point where the party splits up and they promise that they'll see each other in York city later) -I like this series, and earlier today, I found some things as I was wandering about online:

Google search results

Hunter HQ.com
this place is a good-looking site done by a fan of the series, there's lots of information here and it gives a pretty good intro to this series (but if you are new to this, stay away from the spoliers please).

a place to get Hunter x Hunter DVDs at a discounted price

-that shoudl do it for now.

-Daiko~
(pray for me,
and that my younger brother will be able to get his college work done)

trepidation in my heart...
Mood:  crushed out
Now Playing: FEAR!! (in my own heart- for others)
Topic: wondering where I stand
I really really hate it.
-I do understand that fear is a natural reaction and emotion with regards to things, but I hate how unreasonable it can be, and how pervasive it is.

I also dislike how stupid people can be at times with regard to obedience- I know that it is hard to do things that someone else wants you to do at times, but it can be helpful and make life much more easier to go through- why cause unnecessary stress for yourself? I really don't understand...

from the above you may get the impression that appeasement appeals to me, but it does not. What I am against is the audacity that some individuals have in not fufilling reasonable requests.

-yes, this makes me very angry!
If your father calls for you, you should go to him- and if you disobey him, then he has the right to be upset- what need do we children have to unnecessarily upset our parents?! -they have enough stresses already...

this sort of thing happens to often around me, and it irritates and frightens me... very, very much.

...

Lord, save me from my fear
-it is the faith-killer
and I don't need my beliefs to die,
I don't want that at all.

****
Okay, it seems that though I posted this much earlier this morning (Eastern time) I still haven't been able to view this entry in my blog all day and it has been set to a public viewing- I don't understand this, but I wonder... is it this way because someone doesn't wish to hear this from me? I don't really know, but I do know that I'm feeling a bit better now than when I first wrote this...

-I still need help though. -sigh-

...I missed my own anniversary! o.0!!
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: Born and Bred
(this is where you can find information on the show that I have listed in my "Now Playing" line above: http://www.BBC.co.UK/drama)

...yes, I am two days late in remembering my first blog-o-versary- I had started this very blog (my first) last year on October 10th, it's wonderful that I've kept this journal up for more than a year... I'm happy about that. ~^_^~

...

*gets back to work*
(yeah, I've got things to do, but I'll be back to reminsisce and say more...)

continued pursuit
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: news downstairs on [public] tv
Topic: resources
(that is, the continued pursuit of many things in this life of mine- as well as the continuation of my "hunting down an excellent computer at a bargain price" theme.)

I am happy!
I've been finding so many things as of late:
(some nice deals on computers- mostly laptops)
CNET looks at laptops
some Netscape search results
-another reason why I love using Netscape instead of IE: elegant searching, and good results

interlude: intro to Table PCs
a look at prices of T-PCs at Tom's Hardware
some laptops (non-Tablet) at Tom's

T-PCs at the save eagle store
the save eagle store itself

product_info/overview/index__cat_id--462,prod_id--7588172.html my dear Lord, this is a beautiful miracle!]

(other sites that aren't necessarily having to do with the above)
CNET's review of the eMac
my happy search on Google: freeware
excellent: New Tricks for an old PC

****
-and while this is nice, I won't be able to buy any computer at at (not even one under $300!) until I find some sort of paid work I can do... -sigh-

I am a student with the capability of doing freelance Commercial Artwork and I am able to make use of Graphic Design but I have no business... anyone care to commission me?

ack! The British are Coming!!
Mood:  not sure
Now Playing: British comedy
Topic: bits and pieces

(dedicated to Kab, my younger brother...)
[edit- for the "Now Playing" line- it's not "As Time Goes By", but it is actually, "Thin Blue Line"- there, that should fix things somewhat.

and the original title was to be Dead Daiko Day until Kab inspired me with the idea for the current one. ^-^;; ...]

-actually, that title has to do with the odd fact that I tend to pick up a bit of an accent when I watch (or at least, am around) television shows- more specifically, British comedy.

ack! -I don't like it how I don't seem to have any control of this either- ick!

****
Anyways, I'm glad to say that I've returned to getting myself to write properly in my physical journal again- I may post a copy to this blog, or not- as of now, I am not exactly sure.

****
-for today... normal life I mean,
it was pretty unadventurous, I went out with my brother to the library to get some work done and it looks like we've both made much progress with regards to our schoolwork- and I'm quite happy about that ^_^

(uh, that's not all though...)

[****
oh yeah, the episode is "Alternative Culture"
-it's funny, yet odd. ...]

good night.

-Daiko~
(pray for us
and I wish to pray for you~)

don't be surprised if I'm silent
Mood:  hug me
Now Playing: *sounds of younger brother*
Topic: hiatus?

at least, for a little while.

I think that I'll be going on hiatus for a small period of time- it's not that I don't have anything further to say, it's just that I have not been posting lately and I've been finding it harder to do so.

so, don't be too surprised.

-strangely, typing this entry does make me want to take up regular blogging again, interesting isn't it? -yet, I still need to get back on track with regards to other things, especially with keeping up with my responsibilities and helping out my beloved younger brother, and I so miss writing to God in my primary [physical] journal. ;_;

anyways, pray for me
I will be praying for you [more so, because I want to] in the future.

-Daiko~
(pray for my brother too,
he says that he needs aid in having self-control.)
