some of the little things*
Mood:  d'oh
Now Playing: *sound of Daiko thinking*
Topic: bits and pieces
the original title of this entry was "rrgh! (little annoyances and things)" but I decided to change that to something "lighter" instead.

you can read this hidden portion if you don't mind Daiko whining about Paypal

let's see a bit of where I've walked today, shall we?

Wow, not only is this image beautiful, but the artist appears to have really good "art sense"- I am now quite interested in their work... and I'm amazed by their level of customization within their DA journal- I mean, I didn't even know it was possible to make it look so beautiful like that... wow.

and here's a bit more that I've found on DA today:

*I'll be getting to some of the "bigger things" later today in another entry if I can- I'll try to cover what I did during the weekend (two parties, All Hallowed Eve observance) as well as some of today's things (possibly, I'll cover All Saints' Day, prayer, and other things as well).

this cut was the original state that I left this entry in after I had first typed this at college earlier.

something like a rant here.

At the moment, (5:26p to be exact) I am now contemplating whether or not I should take donations for money online (ugh, I think the idea sounds horrible personally- even worse now that I've actually typed this up) I don't think that I will be taking this option, since I would much rather work and earn payment rather than accept charity... but, I won't be giving this much mulling over as I feel that this is just a light passing thought.

I'll do what I can to honestly make money, I won't resort to other options- my heart won't allow for anything other than that.

...

So, would anyone care to commission me? I do have reasonable prices, and I am willing to do artworks starting at $5 (which is quite inexpensive really)

the day before All Hallowed Eve
Mood:  quizzical
Now Playing: my favorite radio station, Spirit fm!
Topic: bits and pieces
(speaking of my favorite station, I don't have it linked in my sidebar anymore... I think I'll be changing this in the future though.)

-yes, today truly is the day before the night that was once known as a holy evening... I just learned some of the history behind this event, and it bothers me that this is not more well-known. It would be an excellent idea to have more people be aware that this day is supposedly a holy day because it is in preparation for All Saints' Day* which follows right after.

there's something hidden behind a cut here.

and today on DA:
I ran across a new artist, Chibi Bunni-chan
she has the potential to draw even better in the future, and I like her most recent deviation even though she doesn't. ^_^;;

Angle of Fall by Nightline

Wolf Moon by Mayshing (I also enjoy her comic series that she currently has up on DA** also, she has some nice tutorials as well.

Mayshing also lead me to another artist, Tikal by way of the shoutboard in her journal (yes, I'm still referring to Mayshing- for those I have confused with my strange sentence structure. ^_^)

a favorite from the excellent artist, Maggock
this is called, Breaking Free

-------
*in the Phillipines, All Saints' Day is celebrated as a National holiday- the offices and schools are closed- they get the whole works! I wish that things were like that over here, America could sure use more holidays and time for people to be off work since we're such an overworked country. -sigh-

**please take note that this link will take you to the first page of the aforementioned "comic"

I said that because earlier, around 7:47pm here the moon was this blood red color- and if you know anything about the show, Grendizer then you will understand my apprehension well.

So, let's see some of what Daiko has seen today, right? Here's what I've seen today- some of these links are revisits while I have only discovered others for the first time today:

"whine whine... cheese, cheese..."

see the above, that's what my younger brother likes to say (especially when I'm doing something on the computer and he wants "his turn") and so with that lovely quote, I am off! (I'm half joking of course! *belly laughter ensues* ...ack! I love you, Kabi!!)

empty wanderings.

I wish to post a serious entry for this blog, and I find myself unable to do so at the moment. -that is not because I physically can't, but all the thoughts that I had earlier are now refusing to come together in some way that makes sense. -sigh-

I'll be posting some filler for now.

****
I found an interesting artist during my time at DA today: Video Game Junki.
I came to his page through the Daily Deviation that was chosen today.

Colouring Practice by Jopet.

some lovely artwork from Loish:
"yarr, matey"
Moon Dancer

other off-DA things:
Far art review.com
Next day Anime shop.
My humble online shop at CafePress
Hobbit like humans?!
poking fun at "undecideds" and more...

****
I think my love for this webcomic (MegaTokyo) has rekindled with this strip ... *sniff*

****
wishlisting:
some art supplies!

...yeah, I find myself looking at things online and saying mentally, "ooh, I want that!" -I know that this isn't bad, and I know that this is normal and that I usually never even think this way, but I feel a bit odd for doing so and I'm not sure why.

bleh, I think that would make an excellent entry for later: wanting stuff and the psychologies behind that phenomenon. ^_^ (okay, that would make an interesting pseudo-intellectual title if I get rid of the cute smiley face)

Daiko looks at a strange box.
Mood:  loud
Now Playing: World Cup Comedy (my favorite tv show)
(I'm "loud" since I'm laughing so hard due to the extremely funny show [World Cup Comedy] in the "now playing" section. Go Fuzzy! Yay! Ham Squad! ...*sniff* I miss Razor Burn so much though.)

I and my little brother hope that this show comes out on DVD some time in the future- I want to see everything and laugh 'til my throat becomes sore. ^_^;;

uh, Cold Turkey anyone?

****
Okay, aside from me looking at the tv, I've got a little happy news too- I'm going to backtrack my online steps first...

I found a free prayer site through a signature link in the CAA's forums today- it looks quite promising, and it seems to offer much more than I can currently offer now. ^_^;;

Afterwards, I reviewed an article I read at deviantART- the DA community recently had a revision of their storefront services*

I also found myself looking at an artist who I hadn't noticed before: Fraeulein.
and from the little that I've seen of her work, it looks quite lovely and clean (yes, I'm referring to her art- I especially like her pasta piece).

While I was looking around DA, I found myself perusing the prints since I was looking into what it might be like to have one of my own (a similar account like this man's)- I took another gaze at Minced Niku's Lost Within I also saw Artgerm's excellent piece Pepper Brushy

Some time after visiting the lovely Fraeulein, I saw this link in her journal to an interesting community- I was mildly shocked... actually, I was less than "shocked" but that as accurate as I can get descriptively- at least for this area anyway.

hmm, took a look at Shadowness -it bothers me a little that some of these other online art communities look so much like deviantART, I don't understand why this is though... maybe I wish that there were more original designs for these places? -yeah, that's probably it.

-ack! sorry for the shabby temp ending like this, but I'm going to log off so that my little brother *hugs him* can use the computer now~ oh hoo hoo hoo~ he's so cute! *hugs him lots!!*

*I would really like to have a prints account -sigh- and I did cover this topic before *laughs a bit nervously*

Daiko trekks the internet (almost everyday)!
Mood:  accident prone
Now Playing: *mental alarm of IT'S TIME TO WORK*

in a somewhat disorderly fashion [a small chronicle of the wanderings for today]:

One place that I found through a banner ad was,Foliolink.com this is a site that has tools for artists who wish to have online galleries- I'm still checking this out as I don't know exactly how they operate or what their services offered are.

Also, while I was at deviantART I looked through the FAQs briefly and found out how to get a prints account. (I am now seriously considering buying one as it will never expire and that it could be a good source of income for me- hooray!)

Some time earlier, I had been crusing around Mangetsu/Sweetmoon's site and found a link to Ohagi-ai.com from her oekaki board- I'm not exactly sure of what's here, but I do know that this is the website of an artist in Japan.

strange nights are coming
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: British comedy on tv downstairs w/ laughter*

*that loud laughter would belong to my little brother
he has this way of laughing so loud and so hard when he's watching something that it gets really hard to talk on the phone... interesting, isn't it? ^_^

Anyway, before I continue with this entry, I really wish to thank rgwalden on ebay for bidding on my items -I am very grateful to you (although I haven't met you, and even though I'd only be getting an ammount of money less than a dollar at this point)... *sniffs* yeah, I'm happy about that~

and so, other than that blessed event
I have more things that I am thankful for now

such as the fact that my brother was able to finish his essay [the subject was on failure- he chose to write about the movie "Legend" and his audience is our mom] today- actually, it has a few flaws but it is basically finished [possibly even "B" quality if you ask me, and I'm not trying to be biased either!]

yes,
I am thankful for what I have mentioned above
(God really is so good~)
as well as for...

uh, this may sound silly
but I am quite thankful that the time now is not the time that I thought it was.

What I mean is that
I have this odd way of thinking:
sometimes I think weeks in advance literally and I get confused as to what will be going on during the weekend and so forth, so I was happy to learn from my little brother that Halloween is not going to occur tomorrow, but it will fall on Sunday of next week.

*breathes a sigh of relief*

time is so wonderful once you come to realize it
such a quiet, lovely, precious thing too.

****
hmm, am I the only one who thinks that having "Halloween" on a Sunday is weird? I mean... I have been alive for a few years now and been through this day before, but I can't ever remember having it fall on Sunday, the Lord's day- hmm, ah this will be interesting... I think I'd rather just attend my evening Mass as usual- I really love it over at my church, I even find it fun working in the kitchen and cooking for all the people in Life Teen at my parish.

I wonder what you guys will be doing then,
in a week from now (yes, I would like to know! I would even like to have some comments from you in which you tell me of your plans for Halloween- I want to know if you are going to hand out candy, or go to a party too!) -so yeah, tell me what you think~
^-_-^ *meow*

****
aside from those details,
here's a brief look at where I've been online today:

I visited Bri-chan, and then found some lovely links to art stores in her journal. Afterwards, I decided to look for some inexpensive Copic Markers and got some decent results- finally, I headed over to Count Your Sheep after checking out RPG World since I hadn't been looking through webcomics for some time now.

Yep, and that's about it for this Daiko today
thanks everyone for reading, and I hope that you don't mind [too much that I've been] writing lengthy entries as of late ^_^;; ah well...

good night, be well~

and so, today...
Mood:  incredulous
Now Playing: late night M*A*S*H* rerun on tv downstairs
Topic: bits and pieces

I didn't do that much except help my little brother get some of his Prealgebra homework done- at least, that's the main thing that comes to mind when I think of what's happened recently...

at the moment, I'm thinking over how things have been in my house (literally) and about how I still want to get my room straightened up [more than it is now].

-it's a semi-quiet night over here, I say "semi-quiet" because all is not calm- there is activity, and stirrings.

hm, but that's enough on that for now...

****
I decided to check out a few things
like my favorite radio station
some current events here in Florida
and then I found the website for

afterwards, I headed over to
DA,
visited a friend,
then I ended up taking a quiz after visiting celestialspirity's DA page, so here are my results:

You are Mousy version Nezumi
You are Mousy version Nezumi
You are often playful, happy-go-lucky, care-free
type of person. You're the type that even the
world ends it wouldn't bother you a bit.
Your free nature lets you run freely in your mind.
You may be treated as childish sometimes but
that is actually the pure of your heart.

Which Form of Nezumi are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

...interesting. (yeesh, I still haven't found very many online quizzes that meet my standards of accuracy- I hate being limited by the small number of selections in these type of tests)

gah, these are just for entertainment, but it still bothers me that the answers to the questions aren't as diverse and specific as I would like- and it's not just me complaining about how things aren't the way that I want them to be (and that is not what I want to do, for I hate whining) it's just... a good test has good options, not merely ones that fit a certain mold. -sigh- oh well. (by the way, it would be nice if these test result images were somewhat smaller- I don't like how the screen gets streched out after I post these results and all...) -and that's enough on that.

****
...okay, so why have I posted my mood for this entry as "incredulous"?

Well, I have a few reasons (and yeah, the whole "quiz inaccuracy peeve" is one of them, but that's not one of my main reasons) for posting that-

it fits me today,
I don't like how I have to "baby" my younger brother when it comes to getting schoolwork or some other kind of work done.

-sigh-

I know that he has a learning disorder, and that it takes him awhile to understand some things (in some areas he's lightening fast though) and I know that patience is a virtue... but he tires me out with this. -sigh- I wish that he would be able to do the excellent work that I believe that he is capable of doing without my help- I do love helping people, but I would like to have some freedom... it's almost as if I'm stuck with him, and I don't enjoy that. ;_;''

...I don't wish to whine though
and I want to explain this better
but I think that this is the best way that I can say this: I'm tired.

...yeah.
but, I'll be okay
-just need to get through this somehow.

...

pray for me, won't you?
and please pray for Kabi, my dear younger brother- he so needs it
he asked me to pray that he would have increased self-cintrol, he is rather impulsive

yes, please pray for my family too.

****
I'm off to bed now, I'll see you soon...

places I've been to today and yesterday (online)
Mood:  bright
Now Playing: silence of night, sounds of day.

I've wandered around a bit and here's my recent stops:

USApad.com
London journals
journal search results from Shopping.com
journals from Yahoo shopping

CG layer tutorial search results from Google.
I went after this for my friend Cobalt-chan- I had wanted to show her that working with layers in computer generated art is not so hard (it's actually quite simple and helpful once you get used to it).

a tutorial from Shaunchng.com

site that has great DIV layouts
this wasn't what I had been looking for during the Google search, but DIV layouts are some of my favorite types of setups for a webpage so I want to look into this.

a randomish search, so I'm not exactly sure of what I was thinking about this...

Accbd.org
...I forgot what this is!

an image from DA

-I'll put in the details for this later, but this is for myself so that I'll be able to return to these sites in the future.

****
(the links listed above are all places I visited yesterday)
Today, I visited [Ebay] and wondered about how I would be able to get a nice job- there were other thoughts on my mind besides that, but I don't think that I'll be sharing those now. -sigh-

anyways, I found some things:
http://www.renewlaptops.com/
http://www.christiananime.net/showthread.php?t=12299
image hosting search.

and decided to visit two places I'd been to before:
http://daiko-chan.deviantart.com/

Gyro Spinners.com

(I'll work on this later, I'll make the links clickable instead of having them as text URLs.)

[/unfinished entry]

what am I reading today?
Mood:  cool
Now Playing: *rumbly Daiko tummy and thoughts*

(hm, as of late no comments have been left on my recent entries- should I take it to mean that no ones reading what I write here? ...hmm, even if I no longer have any audience, I'll continue to write- I remember, I started this blog for my own sake, so I wouldn't forget the events of days gone by [as well as interesting URLs ^_^;;...] so, the blog goes on!)

anyhow, I went through some of my links (on my right sidebar) and I realized that I hadn't visited those places for quite a few days now due to me being preoccupied... I'm glad that I checked Boundless and OT though, I found some interesting articles:

Boundless.org

http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/index.shtml
http://www.opinionjournal.com/la/?id=110005745
http://www.robgagnon.net/homoPresbyTodayArticle.htm

****
On another note, I find myself singing snatches of "Kyrie Eleson" and I'm not sure of why, but I went to look the song up on Google....

I got these results:
Kyrie Elesion
Kyrie Eleison (alternate spelling suggestion)

but, I'm singing a variation of the song in which one of the verses is Kyrie, Kyrie Eleison~ and I'm not sure which one it is (I don't enjoy only having pieces of a song, I'd rather have the whole thing to sing and to remember in full.)

...

hmm, in my original Google search I found an interesting blather entry under the title of "requiem"

-so, the results of this have been quite interesting, I'll come back to this after I eat lunch (;-;'' and it's kind of late for me to do this- yikes! I'll be going offline now...)

****
-ah! come to think of it, I haven't visited this oekaki board in awhile now.
