Hiko was the best friend of Chichiri, whom he still calls Hojun. They studied magic together and were always almost equally matched.

Hiko died in an tragic accident, drowning in a fload. But because of a miscasted spell he and Chichiri performed when they were only twelve, he did not fully die but lead a half-life afterwards, unknown by Chichiri. Hiko rested his existance in a cave underwater as a rooten water corpse. 

He was restored and came back to his old self, but his skin is still pale blue. His magic has also changed. Now he mostly can do water based stuff, but that is powerful enough. Especially his Tsunami spells are devastating.

Hiko's Seishi Sign is located on the left side of his back. It means "emptiness" and dedicates him to Genbu.
