Hotohori is the 4th Emperor of Konan. He is a brave and noble man, with a true heart and a great charm.

He carries a part of the curse that was casted over him and the palace a long time ago in himself, so he will never be able to fully get away from it.

Hotohori is in a way a narcicist, loving and admiring his own beauty a lot. But his good nature and charming kind let you easily forget his little dark spot in his personality. 

Hori is a very talented swordsman. He stared to learn how to fight when he was 4 years old.

There are some rules how to deal with the Emperor. 
First of all, he is an untouchable, what means nobody except his personal servant Nuriko is allowed to touch him when he does not allow you to. 
If the Emperor attends meals, nobody is allowed to eat until he has finishes and tells you to start eating. You are only allowed to drink. 
When people are around, nobody, not even his lovers or closest friends are allowed to call him "Hori" or only "Hotohori", except he wishes for it. You may address him like the following: Heka, You Majesty, Your Highness, Hotohori-Sama.

Hotohori's Seishi Sign is located at the side of his neck, and it means "sei", star. It dedicates him to Suzaku.
