Nakago is the only survivor of the Hin, a tribe of people that dedicated their lives to the demon Tenko. His family was killed by the soldiers of the Kuto Empire when he was just a child. For he was so beautiful, he was then brought to the palace, as a present to the Emperor of Kuto. Nakago had to serve the Emperor and share his sadistic games, but he swore to himself to kill that man one day. He became older and stronger, being the only one in the Empire of Kuto who could use his ki power as a weapon like this.

He became the Commander of the Kuto Army, a very reckless and cruel man. He likes to torture people and almost never cares for the feelings of others. He bought Soi from a man that let her work in a brothel and she is maybe the only one who can get close to him. The twins he owns as well, using them for his pleasure from time to time.

With his son, Shui, he barely acts like a father, more like a commander would treat one of his soldiers. He really loves the boy, but he can`t show him. 

There may be the hurt and sad soul of a tortured child somewhere under that hard armor, but Nakago never shows his feelings to others. Being strong and very powerful, he always works hard to get what he wants. But if one has his loyalty, he will have it forever.

Nakago's Seishi Sign means "heart" and is located on his forehead. It dedicates him to Seiryuu,
