When Tasuki was very young, he left his family, not able to deal with them anymore. He had five older sisters that always teased him. His mother also was a very dominant person and the head of the family, while his father had nothing to say. Tasuki hated him for being such a weakling and he hated his sisters. His mother never really cared for him, only having eyes for her precious daughters.

When he left home, Tasuki met the bandits of Mount Reikaku. He impressed them with his special seishi power, his incredible speed, and they let him join them. He took on the name Genro and lived with them, very fast coming to love that carefree life.

He met Koji and they became friends. When later the boss of the bandits became ill, Tasuki left them to try to find a cure for him. When he came back, he had died and one of the bandits had made himself the new boss, even though they all knew that it was Tasuki the boss had wanted to give the leadership to. Tasuki fought his comrade and won. 

Now being their boss, he tried everything to satisfy the needs of the bandits. When it became harder and harder to get food, he left for the capital of Konan and tried to steal something from the Emperor`s palace. So he was exactly at the wrong place at the wrong time when the curse was casted over Hotohori. Tasuki was now also trapped inside the barrier.

He often tried to sneak into the palace and the people there soon got used to it. He became very good friends with Allen and in the end Hotohori invited him to live at the palace as well. There Tasuki fell in love with Sai and started to hate Tamahome more than anything else.

Tasuki is a very emotional person. He goes mental pretty fast and likes to fry people with his tessen, a weapon that he got from his former boss. He has the talent to always say the wrong things and an absolute lack of tact in the most situations. 

The reason why he hates Tamahome is mostly that Tama seems to not care about other people`s feelings. Tasuki himself would rather hurt someone physically than mentally. He has respect for other people`s feelings and also doesn't care to show his own in front of others.

For his friends he cares a lot. And if somebody dares to make Sai cry, for what reason ever, he`ll probably kill the person.

Tasuki's Seishi Sign is located on his right forearm and means "yoku", Wing. It dedicates him to Suzaku.
