These are some shots from the Lehigh Navigation Company's canal as it meanders through Walnutport, PA. The canal is one of the partner sites of the National Park Service's Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
Lehigh Gap
This is a view of the Lehigh Gap, caused by the Lehigh River forming a gap in Blue Mountain. In the 1750's or 60's Ben Franklin led a militia through here to fortify the gap from the French and Indians and keep them from Philadelphia. It worked.
