Rising Sun Chair
This is the chair where George Washington, as president of the Constititutional Convention (1787) set. During deliberations, Ben Franklin wondered if it was rising or setting. At the end of the convention, he said, "At long last I have the joy to know it is a rising, and not a setting sun." Symbolic of a new nation.
