Status: Freshman at the University of California Santa Cruz, undeclared major
Education background:
I attended high school in the city of Cupertino, which is in the bay area. Initially I wanted to major in computer science or Information Systems Management. This was due to the heavy exposure of computers, because I lived in the Silicon Valley. I took an introduction course to computer science and was not passionate about it, so I'm just trying to take different types of classes and just seeing what works for me.
Professional experience:
My first job was working at Long's. This job was basically customer service. I was only there for 3 months because I didn't like the hours they gave me, and it is a very tedious job. Currently, I am working at Todai as a cashier. Todai is a japanese seafood buffet and I have been working there for 2 years now. It is a fulfilling job in my eyes, because I like dealing with money. In addition, I get along with the majority of my co-workers and the pay is decent. (This is a picture of Todai's mascot. Todai means lighthouse in Japanese, so it is a cartoon of a lighthouse.)
Fun:
When I have free time I like spending time with friends and family. I picked up playing hacky sack in college. It's pretty fun when you have a lot of people playing. I enjoy swimming and crocheting. I just learned how to crochet this year and so far I have made a few beanies and a blanket.
