About the Front
page of this site
This webpage is the Front page of the Special4u website.
The first
idea of creating a new method for computorized
text searching,
sorting, and selecting systems for documents,
photos,
facts, information, articles, stories, news
and data,
came to me slowly
after working at different office jobs
and archive
activities, with IBM card offset boxes,
tables,
sorter and
keypunch machines, already by the end the
50ties in
the US army at Orléans, France, in late 1962 in
the French
army in Paris, at the European Community
in Brussels
at beginning of the 60ties, in news paper,
press and
media jobs until 1994, but more specifically,
after writing
as a reporter and a journalist,
an article
in French about a “Magic Box” in 1986.
More
inspiration about this matter came along in the 80ties
with a
series of interviews at the Chalmers university of
technology in
Göteborg, Sweden, and later when learning
about the Wiki systems and projects, and about the
works by
guys as Cunningham, Leuf, Beck …
I owe much
to Martin
Koster and many others too, before
I could
finaly start writing this page in 1996. PAT.
