TRIP TO GENTING HIGHLANDS

On the 28th of November 2003, Batu Pahat Interactors headed for Genting Highlands on a trip organised by the Interact Council. Departing bright and early at 5.30a.m. (yawn…), the Interactors held an impromptu song dedication session in the bus, obviously already pumped up.

The Interactors first paid a visit ( a very short one! ) to Institut Aminuddin Baki before checking into First World Hotel, Genting Highlands, at 1.00p.m. They were then given the whole day to do as the pleased but were STRICTLY forbidden to enter the casinos. Most of the Interactors went straight to the Indoor Theme Park. There, roller-coasters and a snow-filled theme park awaited them.

A few star-struck girls turned paparazzi when they spotted a dashing young kwailo in the lobby ( No sense in jagaing imej here! ) while some interactors sneaked up to the Rotarians rooms, knocking on their doors before making a hasty retreat.( You know who you are!  )

Finding the scene a little too tame for them, Interactors then set out to explore every nook and crevice and merayau in Genting Highlands. Later, even though they were barred from the casinos, the Interactors held their own gambling sessions in their rooms, with the loser treating the rest to tandoori chicken the next day. ( Ha! Ha! Secret’s out! )

The 2nd day, Interactors checked out and continued on to KLCC. The girls headed off to do what they do best : SHOPPING!! A few disoriented ones got lost but soon all were safely together again, embarrassed but intact. Once the chaperons had finished firing the lost ones, it was off for some sejarah lessons at the National Museum though a few Interactors decided to give it a miss.

Next day, Interactors had another day of shopping ahead, this time at (yeah!) Midvalley Megamall. After that, Interactors were swept off  to Putrajaya.( wonder if they got a glimpse of the PM?! ).However their excitement was shortlived as it was raining.

Then, it was time to go home. Tired but satisfied, Interactors settled in for the journey home.
