Dusty LaBeth

You probably would expect to find this son of college football coach on the football field and not on the back of a bull. “At age 14, I got on my first bull. I loved it so much I quit all other sports,” recalls LaBeth. It was a decision that had the support of both his father and mother. He was taught how to ride by family friends and tunes up his riding skills by attending the Lefew Riding Schools from time to time. LaBeth has struggled with groin and stomach muscle injuries the past two years and considers everyday he competes his proudest moment. “I think just staying on at this level—that’s a great accomplishment. I feel blessed to be able to do what I want to do and be my own boss,” says LaBeth. LaBeth considers his 95.5 trip onTerry Williams’ Bucking Bulls Cripple Creek Promiseland at the 2001 PBR Nashville event his most memorable ride to date. This ride resulted in LaBeth capturing his first Built Ford Tough Series win.
