A tribute to televisions horrible heroine from the 1980s!
First appearing in the book Marmalade and Rufus in 1979, the character would make her screen debut in the pilot Marmalade Atkins in Space (1981), followed by two series: Educating Marmalade (1982-83), and Danger - Marmalade at Work (1984). The novels and the series were written by acclaimed television dramatist Andrew Davies, and the series starred the late Charlotte Coleman in the title role, as well as John Bird, Lynda Marchal, Gillian Raine and Elizabeth Estensen.
