The American Rare Breed Mi-Ki Registry is a registry dedicated to upholding the integrity of the Mi-Ki Breed, registering Mi-Kis, verifying the parentages, promoting the purebred Mi-Ki and breeding for type and function of the Mi-Ki breed. The Rare Breed Mi-Ki Registry was founded to ensure that the purebred Mi-Ki will continue to be a family companion, to educate the public about the health and well being of the Mi-Ki Breed.
As an honest and responsible Registry we will:
). Establish and maintain the Breed Standard of the Mi-Ki per the breed originator.
). Document and maintain all registry data pertaining to all registrations, upgrades, health, breed warnings, etc.
). Maintain all Show records (Win Sheets).
). Validate and share special data collections (e.g.: DNA, Breed Warnings, dominant/recessive traits, investigating any/all new genetic or health related issues, etc.
). Continue to update our breeder’s about breed warnings as the need arises.
). Performing periodic inspections of the Registry to ensure all data is updated and accurate.
). Always be available to any Mi-Ki breeder with regard to compatibility of selected breedings and to encourage proper breeding ethics.
). Take whatever action necessary to protect and assure the continuation of the exceptional quality within the Mi-Ki breed.
). Granting approval of official Kennel Names of each individual breeder.
). Revoke or suspend breeding privileges where applicable.
). Require that all Mi-Kis be VIP DNA’d through the UKC DNA department.
). The American Rare Breed Mi-Ki Registry will register the long coated Mi-Ki. The American Rare Breed Mi-Ki Registry does not recognize the smooth coated Mi-Ki.
