QUANTICO, Va. (Army News
Service, Jan. 8, 2004) – In
the Hall of Honor at the
Federal Bureau of
Investigation's National
Academy, a new plaque pays
tribute to the academy's
latest fallen hero.

Army Lt. Col. Kim Orlando
joins 22 others on the
Martyr's Wall, which
recognizes academy
graduates who have been
killed in the line of duty by
adversarial actions.

Orlando, 43, commanded the
716th Military Police Battalion
of the 101st Airborne Division
when he was shot and killed
Oct. 16 while assisting local
police in Karbala, Iraq, with
an investigation into curfew
violations. Two other soldiers
from Orlando's battalion died
in the attack by local
insurgents.
