QUANTICO, Va. (Army News
Service, Jan. 8, 2004) – In the Hall of Honor at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Academy, a new plaque pays tribute to the academy's latest fallen hero.
Army Lt. Col. Kim Orlando
joins 22 others on the Martyr's Wall, which recognizes academy graduates who have been killed in the line of duty by adversarial actions.
Orlando, 43, commanded the
716th Military Police Battalion of the 101st Airborne Division when he was shot and killed Oct. 16 while assisting local police in Karbala, Iraq, with an investigation into curfew violations. Two other soldiers from Orlando's battalion died in the attack by local insurgents. |
