In April of 2003, The Pentagon released the
identities of four American servicemen killed
in Iraq. Army Spc. George A. Mitchell, of
Rawlings Maryland was amongst that list.
Approximately 30 minutes prior an enemy shell
which destroyed the command post, Mitchell
telephoned his wife. He told his wife during
that conversation that he might apply for a
deputy's job at the county sheriff's office
upon his return home.
He parts this world leaving behind, his wife of
three years, Brenda Sue Mitchell, their two children, Brandee 3, and Joshua 23 months, and a son, age 10 from a previous marriage. |
