Orange Bengal Tiger

The Orange Bengal Tiger is also part of the white tiger species.  They are also scientifically called the Panthera Tigris.  The Orange Bengal has a wider population of about 5,000 to 7,000 in the world.  Much like where the white tigers come from, the Orange Bengal also comes from typically Asia and India.

The Orange Bengal Tiger can range from 6 feet in length to about 9 feet in length.  The tigers stripes are unique to each individual tiger themselves.   This helps zoos and such identify them.  They also typically loose much of their thick outer coat in the summer, as do many other animals, and grow a thicker coat in the winter to keep warm.  Their paw pads are also unique and are how many identify the type of tiger.

Tigers have six times better vision than humans.  They prefer thick grass so they can hunt prey.  Believe it or not, tigers are good swimmers too.

Male tigers are very protective of their territory, and tend to spray urine on it to make their spot.  Female tigers tend to take care of their cubs, which is usually a litter of about 2-4, for only about 2 years.
