Our area's mainstream new rock station has once again pissed me off. But this is the last straw. They cancelled only good radio show ever. LOVELINE. With Dr. Drew and Adam Corolla.
The show ran in re-runs anyway, always a couple of days behind when you heard it. The first Sunday night without Loveline, I was in denial. I thought that the previous show was just running a minute long - but it wasn't. Loveline was never on at all. I found out the next day - the show had been cancelled in our area. Conservative bastards.
The show would always keep me entertained - not with the sex questions, but with the tangents and rants, with Adam's clever metaphors, with the sexual tension between Drew and Adam. When I drove late at night and I was sick of CDs, you could always count on Loveline.
Well, I'll just have to speed up the move out west faster, were the show Loveline airs live in California, since I know CORPORATE MONOPOLY RADIO won't bring it back.
I thought about de-programming the station from my car, but then I would only have one station left. (I used to have 6, and have de-programmed 4 of them for various justified reasons - such as 96.5 KISS FM, which only plays the same 7 most overplayed songs in the world 24 hours a day, or 107.9 Blazin' Hip Hop and R&B, which only plays McDonald's commercials). So now I regretfully only have 100.7 WMMS and 92.3 Xtreme Radio (they don't even use proper spelling - now that is XTREME!).
Bring back Loveline god-dammit!
