Friends of Fairmont honor Dennis McClung in Fairmont Times West Virginia news paper with a plaque of appreciation. The presentataion was in issue week of December 15th 2002. The Friends of Fairmont presented Sherri Biafore (second from left), director of social services for the Salvation Army, and Dennis McClung (second from right) of the Dennis McClung Blues Band with plaques of appreciation for their work in connection with the concert to benefit the Salvation Army Angel Tree program last Sunday. Biafore's plaque was presented for her dedication and commitment to the people of Marion County, and McClung was honored for his outstanding efforts to raise money for the Angel Tree program. The benefit concert raised almost $3,000 and 52 Salvation Army angels were adopted. Presenting the plaques are Sandy Provins (left) and John Provins (right). Honored but not pictured is Joe Carunchia, Fairmont Theatre owner, for his efforts in the revitalization of the downtown Fairmont West Virginia area.
