Theo – a self taught guitarist and bassist - began playing Guitar in Church at the age of 12years and Bass at 16. He hails from Cape Town where he played with various Christian bands, before moving to Gauteng in 1988. Theo and his brother, David, a drummer, have become one of the most sought after rhythm sections and have recorded and toured with numerous artists. He also helped arrange three of the Rhema churches live recordings and co-wrote all three title tracks. Theo is also involved with teaching and workshops for various organizations. Though very comfortable in all styles of music, he particularly shines when playing those funky grooves with his brother David. So whether he’s in the studio, playing live or teaching you will always find him with a bass in his hands.
