- Shades of Blue Butterfly Quartz Necklace -

On this lovely springtime 16" beaded necklace is a unique butterfly pendant. The "body" of the butterfly is a very clear quartz crystal from brazil. The quartz is securely held in place with two dark teal peyote stitches. The butterfly is a little over 1" tall and has a wingspan of 1 3/4". The wings are outlined in a creamy white. Five different shades of blue color the wings. The chain of this necklace is adorned with blue glass beads, green glass beads, and blue pressed glass bicone beads. This necklace is securely fastened together with a screw barrel clasp. To make this necklace I also used waxed Silamide nylon beading thread and Japanese Delica seed beads.
