ISA Open Darts 2000/01
The inaugral ISA Open Darts
Championship was held at the Engine House on Boughton, towards the end of last
season. The winning team was Andy 'ton-up' Caswell and Mark 'Doctor Doubles'
Howell. The night was a great laugh, and over £60 was raised for Club funds.
Thanks to Andy and Dawn for putting the night on.

On the left
we see the evening kicking off with that lynchpin of any tournament, the
first round draw. (l to r) Paul Brighton watches on as Stu Musgrave
picks the home team out of Lee Miller's sack, and Kevin Thomas inspects
to make sure that all is above board and kosher. |
On the right
here we see Lee 'The Prince of the Port' Miller in what was voted the
home made darts shirt of the night. An original number made for Mr.
Miller by Donnatella Versace from hand rolled butterfly silk, super glue
and glitter. |

With a sense
of unerring inevitability the evening progressed to Brannigans, which
saw James Green's shirt, with it's removable lettering, become the
centre of attention for a couple of glamour-puss ladies. Bad news was to
follow for Mr. Green however as his offer to show the ladies his other
removable items was rejected (violently). On the left Greeny can be seen
modelling the shirt, in Brannigans, alongside Paul Brighton, Kevin
Thomas and Jon Hocking. |

As can
be seen, a cracking night was had by all. Left to right - Alun Griffith, Mark
Howcroft, Stuart Musgrave, Steve Painter, Jon Hocking, Andy Caswell, Leo
Burns, the back of Tom Kennedy's head, Paul Brighton and James Green. Toned
athletes to a man!
