Malacca

I have very fond memories of Malacca, or Melaka as it's called in Malay. I see it as my kampong cos my grandparents used to stay there, and every year that we could we'd pack up and head there for a glorious kampong stay. My memories of it are still vivid though I've not been there in years. Sadly, I may not ever go back cos my grandparents moved to JB. So this page is dedicated to my one and only kampong...

One of my fondest memories of kampong life is the goats! Me and my sis used to pluck leaves from the garden to feed them. Their tongues are long, black and pointed! I was scared to feed cows cos they wrap their big tongues around the food - and your fingers too!

Gran in the garden. I love how self-sufficient life there is. You keep your own livestock - hens, goats, cows - and grow your own fruits and vegetables! Imagine us doing that...?

We went to town for a change and rode a real bullock cart! The look on my face is cos when we rushed to pat them, they... peed. A lot, if u see the soaked ground under the other bull...
