From blueb11 @ gamefaqs:
A game where you can "consummate" your marriage? And get married to a guy? (Assuming you are playing as a guy; seeing as I'm a girl, I would find this perfectly desirable.) What kind of a game is this? I'm won't be able to be sure until I see the final rating. However, I thought the game was already out. So why, on page 16 of Gamepro's 196th issue, does it say "RP"? Ah, crud. Life just got harder.
On a cooler note, the very next page has a cool game exclusively for Gamecube, created by Namco. Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. (Where do they get these names? They're beautiful.) Not only is the name beautiful, the advertisement is beautiful, and the game... well, let's just say it's on the edge of blowing my mind away. Rated "T" for Teen.
After a few tries, I finally got the official site (http://batenkaitos.namco.com/) up and loading... After being created by cool music, that sounds like a vague mix of Ancient Egyptian and Inuyasha, I am absolutely convinced that this is going on my must-have list. As is quoted in my magazine --
"It's possibly the most beautiful GCN title ever made" - Nintendo Power. It sure looks like it, boys.
Anyway, more on video games. I got two editions of GamePro today, so I'm in the video game mood. I find the actual marketing of video games to be extremely interesting in itself.
Ok. GamePro, Issue 196, page 18. Direct quote here. "LucasArts is currenlty working on an issue that prevents players from finding or joining games with friends. Numerous difficults with connection to servers have been reported with problems like failing to sort servers, failing to connect, and abrupt disconnections. In addition, users have encountered problems with talking and hearing with their voice headsets. LucasArts suggests opening ports 3658, 3659, 6500, and 27900."
Now, see, here's the thing. Why play a game with a crap connection? Why not just go find a game with a good connection? Eh, whatever. Good look to those poor saps. Anyway... *sigh* Baten Kaitos. God, it looks beautiful. Just... so... beautiful.
I can hardly wait.
Quote: "The World of Baten Kaitos exists in an era where lands float in the sky and the once-vast oceans are a mere legend. With your help, Kalas and Xelha must struggle to reveal the mystery of the lost ocean and destroy the corruption that threatens their world." - ad for Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, Gamepro Issue 196, page 17
