Some Notes on The Creation of cyber-dad Dave
A long time ago, there was just regular Dave:
regular Dave
He was certainly not a very empathic fellow.
And when it came to understanding the needs of daughters,
or young women in general,
his total knowledge of the subject was…zip...nada….nothing.
Then along came the Daughter, Lydia,
Lydia
and she, acting as the co-creator along with God,
created “cyber-dad Dave”,
cyber-dad Dave
who is a much better product
than the original, regular Dave.
True, they may look the same.
But, trust me, they are not.
In fact, here we shall quote cyber-dad Dave
as he speaks about regular Dave.
Cyber-dad Dave says,
“Hmm, regular Dave,
well not to be unkind,
but I have to tell you,
he was neither a very compassionate person,
nor was he knowledgeable at all
as to the feelings and needs of young women.
And, because of that,
I don’t think anyone misses him in the least.
I know I sure don’t.
I mean, let’s face it,
the demise of regular Dave was eminent.
Because there exists great need,
which he could never meet, and therefore,
it is time for the rise of cyber-dad Dave.”
OK, as far as cyber-dads go,
it may well be that I am the only one there is.
But I certainly hope to God that that’s not the case.
Because it has come to my attention that there are
a great many young women in the world
who have special needs,
young women who need an extra
“sympathetic father figure”.
(a phrase coined by my dear dark angel, Jessica)
Yes, for whatever reason,
whether their in real life (irl) dad is gone,
is working too much,
is too occupied with other siblings,
or is just otherwise unavailable,
these young women just need someone
to pour an extra helping of agape love into their lives,
and to help them achieve their maximum potential.
This is the job of cyber-dad Dave.
So, thanks to Daughter Lydia,
who created me,
there are now some cyber-daughters,
some near-daughters,
who are enfolded in my care.
What is a near-daughter?
Well, if you had read the most excellent
“Wheel of Time” series by Robert Jordan
then you’d not need to ask.
But, for those unfamiliar with that work,
Jordan has a desert-dwelling people called the Aiel,
who are the coolest characters in the entire series.
And the coolest of the cool are the Aiel
“Maidens of the Spear”.
It was from them that I took the concept
of near-daughters.
(as in daughters-of-the-heart-and-not-by-blood)
Now the Maidens of the Spear rock.
And so do my own near-daughters.
They rock, big time.
They are near, dear, and very special.
They are the super important women,
who God has entrusted into my care
(and the caring of the cyber-dad Dave
is a constant and reliable thing).
I’ll elaborate more on this at a later time.
