Ra*Chel

(aka Sparks)

(aka THE SailorComet ^_^)

Dave's Official Anime Consultant

08 FEB 2003 update (names)
the names of the various Sailor Moon characters are:
Serena/Sailor Moon - Usagi
Raye/Sailor Mars - Rei
Amy/Sailor Mercury - Ami
Mina/Sailor Venus - Minako
Lita/Sailor Jupiter - Mako

By the way, since she is a near-daughter, a Maiden of the Spear,
and therefore one of the Koolest of the Kool,
the world's only cyber-daddy hereby
formally announces that he SUPPORTS her claim,
and throws the power of his name & site behind her,
and declares Ra*Chel to be THE Sailor Comet.
All other Sailor Comets are declared to be
mere pretenders and imposters,
and they shall not be recognized by the cyber-dad
as having ANY legitimacy whatsoever.
So let it be written, so let it be done.

OK now, while I may know a thing or two about being a cyber-dad,
I must shock you and reveal that there actually are some things
that I am not totally up on. Yes, sad but true. Hehe.

And, in reading through the webpages of some of my near-daughters,
I was like, "Webrings? Cliques? What's up with that?
And what's up with Sailor Moon? Like how many of her are there?
And are they related to each other?"

Soooo, rather than remain in the dark,
but lacking the time to do a proper search,
I called in my "anime consultant", Ra*Chel,
for the answers to these questions.
(yeah, I know that some of those questions have
like absolutely nothing to do with anime. ::shrugs::
Fortunately, my anime consultant knew the answers anyway. hehe)

'Nyways, for the benefit of other like me,
we shall post Ra*Chel's answers,
but, first, here is my FAVE quote by her,
like in response to seeing how little I really knew on the subject:

"Oh dearie me. U r an absolute amateur…"

Hehe. Truer words were never spoken.
OK, on to Ra*Chel's answers. Here they are:

"Web rings are various sets of web sites, usually a whole bunch.
They all relate to each other. There are Sailor Moon webrings,
Pokemon web rings, Dragon Ball Z web rings,
and real stuf web rings, too.

"Cliques are web rings for exclusive sites only.
They look at ur site and if it's not good enuf, they don't let u in.

"On Sailor Moon....
They are NOT related except for the fact that they're all in Minato-ku,
Tokyo, Japan. And, of course, they're all Sailor Scouts (Sailor Senshi).

"Sailor Moon-Serena-Bunny-Usagi-Princess Serenity-Neo Queen Serenity
Sailor Mercury-Ami
Sailor Mars-Raye
Sailor Venus-Mina
Sailor Jupiter-Lita
Tuxedo mask-Darien-Moonlight Knight-Prince Darien-King Darien"

Hmm, that explained a lot.
But I was still fuzzy on why so many names for like Sailor Moon,
as opposed to say, Sailor Mercury.

Well, Ra*Chel had an answer for that, too.

"The Sailor Scouts all have a Scout name, regular American name,
and a Japanese name. Sailor Moon is also a princess
(and her Japanese name is Usagi) and she ends up being the neo queen.
In some manga (anime comics) they call Serena "Bunny" instead.
Tuxedo Mask is the prince, ends up being King
(and his Japanese name is Mamoru, I 4got 2 mention that).
In one saga (series of episodes), I guess he was about to die
or somthing and the evil poeple took over his body.
Then his spirit or sumthin came back, and he was Moonlight Knight.
I think I missed that saga's first episodes.
I don't know the other girl's Japanese names, though.
There are also Outer Senshi (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto).
If you search under any of them
(especially Sailor Saturn or Outer Senshi) you'll find a LOT.
There's also Sailor Mini Moon (Sailor Chibi Moon) and Chibi Chibi.
It gets very confusing."

Hmm, confusing…uh, um. yeah.
But at least I know a lot more now.
Sooo…thanks Ra*Chel, big time.
