Sweet Songs

Sweet songs
whispered on the wind.
An old woman grieves
for long-dead wishes.
A young child wanders,
lost.
What songs are these?
What songs are left?
Songs of war and
loss,
songs of hate and
greed,
bringing pain and
sorrow on the wind.
