Driving
Sideways are a well respected three piece blues/rock band from the Medway
towns in Kent, UK. The band consist of Zak Starstosky ex Upp, Jeff Beck
guitarist on guitar/lead vocals, Norman Conquest on keyboards/bass/vocals
along with a pool of brilliant drummers namely Andy Jenkins, Alan Savage,
Simon Lee and Andy Luengo. Also we are honoured to feature the brilliant
British saxophone legend Phil Brown (go
to Phil's page). The band have
been together for four years and have played extensively throughout
the UK and Europe. Two CD's are currently available. "In The Beginning",
the first album recorded at Red Studios, Wouldham, Kent in 1997 and
"Live at the Casino Ballroom" released in 1999. The band also
released a track called "SE7" on the new Charlton Athletic
compilation CD "The Red Robin" in the year 2000 much to the
delight of Zak who is a lifelong Charlton supporter. A new four track
CD is currently in the early planning stages. They play a mixture of
classic blues/rock covers and original material. Over the last few years
the band has played at many bike shows such as the Harley Davidson Bike
Show, the Iron Horses MC Show, the first Renegades "Pissed Indian
Rally" and the Legionnaires MTC Rally (for the past three years).
