VISIT OSCARJORDAN.COM NOW! From Left to Right. Stone Fuzz, Signal Flex Super Chrous, Boss Blues Driver, Dunlop Wah. I noticed that in additon to some slap back delay he really digs using Chorus with his solos. I messed around with this a bit at home over the weekend and it really gives you a unique sound. It cuts through a bit more. Now I sound like him in a very small way. He also had some cool switching going on between amps and channels. It goes without saying that his lead tone is awesome but his clean stuff is great too. Very lush and big. Maybe too much delay for a lot of people but in a three piece it works. It spreads. Nice and phat. No dead air. He also knows how to hold'em and when to fold'em. He uses his effects very tastefully. No UGLO-Tone!

Oscar & The Man!
Notice that though he can smoke me on guitar I am a lot prettier. By the way, I'm not really fat. It's the big ass shirt. In addition he is skinny as hell. One of those 26 inch waist guys that I hate. Lol!!! Cool guy. Very gracious. Southern hospitality. His roadie actually went out of his way to show me his entire set up, took me back to the VIP lounge, took pictures of us, and allowed me to get Eric's autograph on his latest CD. I can kick myself for not staying for the third and fourth set. Yes, I was a puss. But I bootlegged the entire first show. One of the coolest songs he did was were he played the riff from Bill Withers' "Use Me" and sang the lyrics to Curtis Mayfield's "I'm Your Pusher Man" on top of it. Very soulful. He's got the gospel vocal thing down. Guitar mayhem ensued! If he ever comes to your town, don't miss him! |
