The YWMA seeks to improve the social and educational development of young
women and girls in Jordan; conducts educational and vocational programs for
mentally disabled children; operates a women's community college to provide
young women with opportunities for advancement and participation in development
programs; and runs a center for learning difficulties linked with the community
college. The YWMA sheltered workshop provides employment opportunities for
