England Started brightly looking like they were going to dominate the game. Sol Campbell opened the scoring on 24 minutes.England Were looking to use the Long ball system but what seemd to be happening was that they were just giving the ball away, although looking bright and fresh were Darius Vassel for being so livley, and Danny Mills for pushing forward which he seems somwhat reluctant to do in international games. England tended to back of near to the end of the second half this allowed Sweden to Capatilise and they started to come back into the game.
The Second half commenced, England came out expecting to wipe the floor with sweden, Instead Sweden cam out with the intention of leveling up. Mistakes from all over the fieled cost England dear. England kept gifting the Swedes with possesion, they then seemed to relish on this and became the better side pushing England back. The equaliser was inevitable, Alex Alexandersson Scored for Sweden Just beofre the hour mark. David Beckam was substituted but just as a precaution for Keiron Dyer who didn't seem to have a great impact. Overall the game was a disapointing one for England who should be equal with Argentin at the top of the group now.
Man Of The Match: Darrius Vassell
His pace and skill seemed to unlock the defence on many occasionsions. Very strange to see him substituted I would have preferd to see Heskey off. Close compertition from Sol Campbell and Allback but Vassel gets the nod from me
