I went to visit my good friends Phil and Michelle Wolfenden for Christmas one year, and look what I brought home! They had recently had a litter sired by the magnificent import Australian/Canadian/New Zealand Champion Waterstone Copper Dunvegan, and I fell in love with a beautiful little girl they had, who I nicknamed Perfect Puppy! Looking back several years later, she still lives up to that nick name, she has the most even temperament I have ever seen in a Malamute, and constantly exceeds my expectations of her. Thanks Phil and Michelle for letting me bring this special girl home with me. Here is Abby at 5 weeks of age

This photos of Abby and her son Almus were taken at Lancefield Champ Show. She has developed into a lovely, gentle natured girl, who is a favourite with the other dogs, and us for that matter as well. She has only been lightly shown, but will be out and about a bit more once we get Ellie titled. In the meantime, she will be having a bit of fun backpacking and doing obedience and agility. Abby has also been assessed by the VCA and is a registered Therapy Dog, giving her access to visit Nursing homes.
On 1st May 2005 Abby competed in our local obedience club's inaugural members comp. After attending classes only 3 times, Abby was awarded equal 1st, but on a countback got 2nd place in the beginners class! Way to go Abby. She has now graduated to Intermediate class, so is catching up to MOLLY, her daughter. Molly also had a great day and won 1st place in Intermediate class.
We decided to show all our dogs at the AMCV Open show held on ANZAC day, 2008. Abby was shown in the desexed bitch class and against stiff competition was awarded first place. She is 6 1/2 years old in this pic.
Above is Abby's mum, Aust Grand Champion Snowalker The Way It Is, or Zuni to her friends. Zuni is owned by Phil & Michelle Wolfenden, of Adelaide, South Australia.
Aust, New Zealand and Canadian Champion Waterstone Copper Dunvegan, pictured above as a pup, is Abby's sire. Copper returned to New Zealand, abut has now unfortunately passed away. He spent his 'retirement ' at Zenfro kennels.
